Howdy!
I have ThatDamnBanner. Here, at my house.
Almost ready to go to Houston
(minor adjustment/additionto be made <g>).
So, where are we going to meet in Houston?

I'm going to Houston to play, have fun, see you,
see quilts, shop. I will be there from Friday
until Sunday. Where shall we meet?

As well as meeting in a large group, we can also
have a night or two "on the town", gather at a convenient
motel, go out for supper (Linda, I don't know about
Houston bar-b-q, but figure there have to be plenty of places
to get it); some of you can even meet up for breakfast
(I did say I was going for fun, not early meetings <g>).

Suggestions?

I don't know the lay-out of the auditorium, not all of it anyway,
but I do know that at most quilt shows, the "lunch area" is
always crowded and over-crowded at Lunch Time.
I'm not going to carry TDB w/ me 12 hrs. a day for 3 days.
It needs to know its place, after all, and its time. <g>

Where are we meeting? When?

Hi,

I'll be there from Wednesday evening to Saturday morning (we take our
flight home in the early AM). So I guess the best day to meet would be
on Friday! :)
I really don't want to leave w/o meeting w/ y'all! I can meet in the
evening, like you said.. don't recall off the top of my head what hotel
we are staying at but if we are on the bus route how hard is it to get
from one place to another?? A night on the town sounds like a blast!

I'm there from Monday till Saturday morning, and Friday would be really good
for me, since I don't have classes on that day.

I will be there from early afternoon Wednesday till late morning
Sunday. Staying at DoubleTree Inn at Allen Center so let me know where
we are meeting. If you check Susan Drudings site she has set up times
for on-line quilters to meet. Perhaps we can use the same place and
times.

Actually the eating area wasnt too bad last year, its pretty huge. We
kept a table near the front and draped the banner over a couple of
chairs so anyone coming in could see it. We did that each day and
differnt people turned up each day along with some of us regulars.

Anyway, I'll be arriving Monday night and leaving Sunday afternoon so I
dont mind.

I am soooo jealous. We're having our Lords Acre bazaar on that day but will
be thinking about all of you. I made a quilt for the raffle and so far we
have sold over $8000.00 in tickets. But there is a reason for so many sold.
I made a second quilt(watercolor) to give to the one who sells the most
tickets. The scheme worked. We usually make around $1000.00. Anyone
interested in buying a chance on a quilt?
