I Got Ribbons!!!

I went to the fair (again) today and saw my work on display with the
ribbons attached. Montgomery County, Maryland is my home town, the fair
is over on Saturday.


Emie Bishop angel ornament............4th

A&L P-51 Mustang......................2nd
Linda Driskell needlecase.............1st
Linda D. Pulled thread sampler........1st
Kooler Designs carosel zebra..........1st
TW Castle Sampler.....................1st
Emie Bishop Embellishments bellpull...1st, Grand Champion
Edie & Ginger needlepoint stocking....1st. Grand Champion, Best in Show

To make things even better, two of the members of my stitch and bitch
group have champion ribbons, too! A silk gauze piece and TW's Peacock.

I too took 2 entries to the fair today - one was a small bellpull with the
word Joy spelled out using all beads and a background using all metallics.
The other was a framed picture - Stoney Creek from the Bouquet of
Splendor book. I will have to wait until at least Sunday to see if I get
any ribbons, but somehow I don't think this will be my year...but then
again you never know...

I just cannot wait to go out and look at the displays.....It is such an
inspiration to keep on stitching after seeing so many beautiful pieces....
