Welcome
Oz-stitch is a mailing list is designed so that readers of the
rec.crafts.textiles.needlework RCTN newsgroup & other on-line stitching
forums, who are based down under i.e. in Australia & New Zealand & other
parts of the Pacific, can discuss local events & issues via email & more
importantly organise group get togethers with other members, be it in your
area or when you are travelling within Austalia or New Zealand.
Some people may find this list a little more reliable than reading RCTN
for keeping up to date with local news.
This list can also be used for overseas travellers to the region. You can
post to the list for local info or ask if anyone would be interested in
getting together.
This is a low volume list. Please do not post general stitching questions,
these are best taken to RCTN.
Spam is not welcome, so hence all posts to the list must come from the
email address you are subscribed with. If you are emailing from another
location, please change the settings in the email program to your
subscribed email address.

National Trade Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The dates for 2000 were
April 27 - 30, and October 26 - 29.
Topics include applique, beading, bear making, canvas work,

embossing, embroidery, fabric mache, faux finishing, hand and machine
knitting, heirloom sewing, interior design, lace making, needlepoint,
petit point, paper arts, paper mache, pattern drafting, quilting,
ribbon crafts, rubber stamping, silk ribbon embroidery, smocking,
software for crafts, spinning, stencilling, tatting, trapunto, and
weaving.

A.1 General Comments
Welcome. This is one of several Needlework Frequently Asked Questions
(Needlework FAQs) documents for the rec.crafts.textiles.needlework
Usenet newsgroup on the Internet.
The FAQs are a collection of information that should be of use to
people who do many kinds of needlework. They include lists of
magazines, mail order companies, guilds, events--even conversion
tables. The hints and tips contained here have been collected from
many people who have been kind enough to share their wisdom with
rec.crafts.textiles.needlework.
Although efforts are made to make sure that the information in this
FAQ is correct, this document is provided as is, with no warranties or
guarantees of any kind either expressed or implied. Any commercial

The FAQs are successors to the original "Counted Cross Stitch FAQ",
first posted to the old rec.crafts.textiles newsgroup on April 20,
1994. Thanks to the people who have given permission for their
messages and postings to be quoted directly. Special thanks to those
people who read the draft of the original "Counted Cross Stitch FAQ"
for their time, care and suggestions.
