I am really really really enjoying working on this project the more I get into
it. I have worked many hours and yet to finish the first flower. It is a
delight to watch it form. After doing needlework for almost 30 years, I never
imagined I would find something "new" much to me any more. This is a wonderful
creative outlet. I have already used 12 stitches on this flower and many many
shades of silk. Today I hope to finish the first flower and the instructions
for doing just this first piece is 5 pages . I have learned a lot. These are
oddly stitches I had not used before.

You asked me about the cloth I had used called seedcloth. It is the finest
cloth I have worked on and still enjoy it.
I am doing the Jacobean Tree of Life in silks. the directory has over 110
different stitches I will use on this area about 19x14 inches. Want the url
again?

Ok. Now I remember. You got this at Jenny June's if I remember
correctly? You have me so intrigued that I may have to get it for myself.

Well the reason I am doing it is I want the textile. I was surprised to enjoy
it this much and that is the icing on the cake.
Generally as of late, I want a textile to use in this new home I am decorating
and of course can not find it done. I saw silk paintings when doing research
for the Federal period and since the room is in that, I reserached a long time
until I found proper pieces and actually saw a Tree of Life. I could not find
one done and was about to design something when told about this "kit" which
really is not kitted. It is perfect for where I need it and thus, am doing it.
I generally do not do anything that won't fit in my home.... it narrows it down
but I do enjoy what I do get done.
