I'm looking for charts of fairies. I know about the newes Mirabilia ones and
the DMC flower fairy ones and Cathy's cupboard and delatour. Are there
any others?

Has anyone seen both the DMC Fairies and the flower fairies in the Eva
Rosenstand catalog, and if so how would you compare them? I love the
ER ones and haven't seen the DMC ones.

Theresa Wentzler has a series of four fairies, one for each season.

Don't forget the 6 new Green Apple Flower Fairies...also inspired by the
work of Barker but a vastly different style of chart adaptation the the
Brit DMC versions...

do you happen to know if the ones in the Rosenstand catalog are those by
Green Apple? Some appear to be a bit different and yet, in some cases,
they are the same fairy. Opinions? Facts?

Facts:
No, they're definitely not the same.

To clarify, all these flower fairies are based on the art work of Cicely
Mary Barker. There are all kinds of publications showing these
beauties--books for children, baby books, etc.

Several different companies have received the right to publish charts of
this art work from the copyright holder, the estate of CMB. Each company
charts a given picture as it wishes to render it, so yes, there can be
different versions of the same fairy. Eva Rosenstand has many of them in
their catalog. They are all kits, but of the highest quality, including
generous cuts of linen.

IMHO, both the Green Apple charts and the DMC charts pale by comparison to
the Eva Rosenstand renditions. The Green Apple and DMC charts are blocky
and two-dimensional with coarse features. The Eva Rosenstand charts are
three-dimensional in appearance (by that I mean lots of shading in the
object to give a modeled appearance), and the facial features are very
lovely, fine, and expressive. I am in the middle of the Apple Blossom
Fairies from ER, a mother and baby fairy on a bough of an apple tree. I
just love looking at them.

Chris, please see my other post under this heading for my humble opinion.
I know you love ER (having seen your other work!). The DMC fairies can't
compare!
