Yes, that's true! But if they did the sheer nature of needlework as intensive
hand-work would limit the available number of pieces done by any one artist in
their lifetime and therefore I think would protect it's intrinsic value.

Very interesting, thought provoking article but I found it's viewpoint to be
extremly biased by the writer's own situation.
