I know there has been discussion on this before, but not being interested at
the time it didn`t register! Now my daughter has asked me if any of my
friends on the internet know where she can get a Winnie the Pooh chart - she
owes a thankyou to someone who collects Winnie the Pooh stuff and thought
she`d stitch a picture for her.

Thanks

If you're just looking for charts... of the Disney Pooh, rather than the
classical Pooh, there are 4 books of the charts out now (I haven't seen any
separate leaflets... just the books or kits... lots of kits). There's a ""P" is
for Pooh", a Christmas one (those are the two I have), another newer generic
book (like the first one, different designs), and a Baby/small child oriented
booklet.

Seen them at Michaels, JoAnns, and a couple of LNS. All of them seem to have
single character smaller pictures as well as larger ones of several doing
whatever... most of the charts in the books are sold as or were sold as kits
before (seen the same places).

Classical's harder to find, but I've seen a few of them around as well.... Not
sure if it was one of the chains or at The Stitching Post... but I've seen more
of them than there used to be just in the last month somewhere.

Duh.. after I sent that, I remembered who it was who wrote it. There used to be
a couple of companies/LNS on the web (in the UK) that had a wide selection of
Classic Pooh designs... one of which I visited again last week and saw a number
of Disney Pooh charts/kits at as well...

Can't remember who it was... though a search on google (the old deja.com will
get you there, too) for "classic pooh" in the newsgroup might come up with it.

There are some charts of what we Americans call "Classic Pooh" in a
book called Storybook Favorites in Cross Stitch by Gillian Souter. It
is a hardback with a dust jacket, and I got it a couple of years ago
at Barnes and Noble. Classic Poohs are the original illustrations by
Ernest Shepard, as opposed to Disney. I also saw a copy of this book
called Storybook Favourites in Cross Stitch, same author (note the
spelling change) with a different dust jacket, but I didn't look at it
to see if the actual contents were the same. (Trying to be good and
avoid temptation, you know!) The Pooh charts in the book I have (the
first one) are small, so they would work up quickly, but very nicely
detailed and shaded. The charts seem easy to read (although I haven't
actually done any yet). It also includes Beatrix Potter, Angelina
Ballerina, Spot, Steven Cartwright, Babar, and several
others...multitudes of nice children's gifts. HTH Paula B.

I think it`s "Classic" Pooh she`s after. Someone kindly sent me a couple of
websites if anyone else is interested: www.sewandsew.co.uk and
www.designerstitches.co.uk the first one in particular is EXCELLENT - not
just for Pooh charts/kits either!

Thanks to everyone who helped!

I know that I've seen quite a few kits of Winnie the Pooh at my local needlework
shop. And I heard there is also a book available now of patterns that is all
Winnie the Pooh. You could check either Ebay or your LNS to see if they have it
in.
