If any artists working in textiles would take a few moments to respond to
the following survey, it would be sincerely appreciated.
Please return the survey to Rebecca Collinson (rcol...@s850.mwc.edu)
or c/o Lynne Collinson (Lynne_C...@Brown.edu)

My name is Rebecca Collinson, and I am a senior at Mary Washington College
in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am developing an independent study project
concerning contemporary feminist art. The enclosed survey is critical to
my research.

In my paper I explore issues of invisibility, anonymity, and the silence
of women in traditional art historical discourse, and it is my view that
these issues serve as the impetus for contemporary feminist art. The
artist creates so that she may be seen, known, and heard, thus combating
the presence of discrimination. She spreads knowledge about women and
society as a whole from a female perspective.

Please take some time to answer my questions and to let us know what you
think. Any additional comments are welcome. I thank you for your time
and contribution.
