Has anyone ever used chalk pencils to enhance their Paper piecings? I saw
them on QVC and was wondering how they are? I believe they are very similar
to pastel chalk pencils. I would like to try them myself but thought I
should ask first.

TIA,
Dorothy

I"ve used them. heheh. they are pretty good...not as messy as using
reg. chalks. more control when working w/ little areas.

You can get them at michaels in the pastel's section..not in the
scrapbook section. I got mine at the Great American SCrapbook show
last year...but i have seen them at michaels.

Yeah....me too. I have been asking around about them too. None of the LSS
carry them, they just gave me the look of "huh, there is a product like
that?" I went to Michael's several times but never thought of going into
the other section to locate them.

to Michael's in my future....)

They are the same thickness as pencil crayons. They do work well in smaller
areas and you have more control. Maybe because they are a fairly new thing
or maybe just my LSS but I paid 32$ for 12, a bit pricey! Barb:o)

QVC has them:Item Number F3752
Nancy Hamby 24pc Chalk Pencil Set with 138 Designs

QVC Price $33.17
Shipping and Handling $4.47

If anybody wants them. I have also seen them on e-bay for about the
same price and the shipping is the same. I figure it may be easier to
purchase them from QVC. If they get lost or are broken you have a guarantee.

Just a thought. I think I will be ordering mine today.

Thank you everyone for all your input.

God Bless,

Dorothy

Thanks, that helps. I couldn't find any at Michael's, but of course, I
didn't really know what I was looking for! =)

Michael's has them in sets of 6 in the art department. Last year I saw the
Landscape set on clearance and picked it up. I have considered getting some of
the other sets but hate to put out the money when I have a chalk set. They are
just a chalk instead of graphite in the wooden pencil and the benefit I found
was that they get into small areas easier.
