Thanks everybody for the input. I'll put it to good use. Guess I need to
shop for some chalks. Are any kind of colored pencils safe to use? Does
something like that specify "acid free"?

Yes, Ma'am...EK Success makes their own colored pencils in three color
sets: Pastels, Primary and Earthtones. Safe for scrapbooks!

Enjoy 'em...they're not hard to find - WalMart has 'em!

Knows who has what 'cause she's bought most of it,

I have a question about the chalks you refer to. What kind of chalks are they?
I saw something called pastel chalks in AC Moore in the aisle with the artists
pastels. Can you use artist pastels? Are they safe to use around pictures?
If this isn't the chalk you're referring to, does a large craft store like
Michael's carry them and what aisle do I look on? WHEW! Well that's enough
questions for now. LOL

I'm not sure about artists' pastels...mine are called decorator
chalks...acid free. My Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't carry
them, but the two lss's in town do.

Prismacolor pencils are my absolute favorite. They blend perfectly, come in up
to 120 colors and are soft leaded and safe to use. You can find them at
Michaels in several sizes and use a coupon.

You can also order them from www.classroomdirect.com - best price I've ever
seen for those pencils.
