As a christmas gift to my folks and other family members we had our
portraits done at Sears.

I haven't gotten the hard copies yet from Beth & roy but I did managed
to snag them off the website to share:

Wonderful photos! I noticed you put the pic of you, Larry, and Sara first.
Biased? LOL (just kidding!) I love the picture of Sara and Beth where
Sara has her hands up by Mommy's face...so cute! DD keeps a picture of her
and I, her first Christmas picture, in her room. She often takes it to
MIL's house when the kids are there without us so she won't miss Mommy as
much. I think Sara will always treasure that picture of her and her Mommy.

I actually printed it,the picture of her and her mommy on a shrinky
dink with the picture of her and her daddy and made charms out of them
as I bought her a charm bracelet so we can add to it year after year.
The picture of us with Sarah was just a fluke of the webshots draw.

You do of course realize that you don't have a legal right to use those
images for anything other than the prints you paid for. The portrait studio
owns the copyrights to those images. Which means you just violated copyright
law!

I paid for a CD Rom which a Sear's Portrait Studio employee told me
that I could use to purchase other personalized items. So technically
for $19.95 I purchased the rights to use the photographs as I saw fit.

Printing on shrinky dink? I hadn't thought about that. I've stamped on
shrinky dink, but hadn't thought about printing on it. How did it turn out?

Good. I am glad they started doing that. Many places don't and I have heard
of people getting in to trouble because they scanned in and make copies for
relatives. I guess they wanted more money. Frankly when it is a picture of
you, or your family members I don't see how they can copyright that. But,
they can.

What kind of resolution and size are the images on the CD? Are they large
and high resolution (8x10, 300 dpi) or low resolution or medium?
