If you are going to work with plain ceramics THAT HAS ALREADY been
glazed then why don't you use porcelain/ceramic over-glaze colors (fire
to cone 017-015) and
use the single fire method and drying medium/oil (versus non drying
medium/oil) for color mixing ?

in order to do this you need a matt glaze on the project that you are
going to work with and I was taught at ceramichrome seminar to use under
glaze for the design the matt glaze doesent move in the firing where the
gloss glazes will move
