Hi, I am a painter, and I would like to get into painting (or
photo-ceramic) on ceramic tiles. I probably don't want to get into making
my own tiles in the beginning. Is there any place where I can buy plain
tile (before burning) that I can paint using glazes, then burn them after
I paint them?

I am not experienced in ceramic / pottery, so any suggestion on sources of
materials, books, or magazines would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just paint tiles that are already on the market like what they
sell at Home Depot? You can paint them with whatever medium you want and
then bake them in a 350 degree oven for 45 min. and let them cool down in
the oven. Depending on where I'm going to use the finished tile
determines what type of sealant I put over the painting.
