Catastrophe! I accidentally broke a borrowed Corning
cutting board, one of the older ones that is nice and smooth
and perfect for rolling and cutting clay. It is
unmendable. It's measurements are...or where, until I got
finished with it...about 12"x18".

I need to buy one as a replacement, but those things are
apparently not to be found. If someone has one they can
sell to me, I'll pay the price, postage, plus throw in a
handful of my opal beads as a bonus!

Thanks, Donna.... I checked it out and sent an email, but I have a
feeling they cannot help with this. It seems dedicated more to cooking
and serving than to accessories like cutting boards. I have my fingers
crossed, but I have a feeling I will have to hope someone has an extra I
can buy.

Hi Kelly -- you might want to try a Corning outlet store. BTW, I am looking
for cheap, plastic lace doilies and they are no where to be found. I would
even settle for an old plastic-lace tablecloth.
Oh, the joys of claying. . . .

Kelly,
I really value your contribution to this newsgroup---but no way will I part
with my white Corning glass cutting board! If anyone has one more, I'll
take it. I'll pay the same and throw in some special claying tool as well

I don't have one, but I did have an idea if there is no way
you can replace it. Go to your local full-service glass place- the
kind where they make windows and mirrors, and get them to
make you a similar one from thick, tempered float glass (clear).
They will be able to round the corners and make it to your
exact specs, and it will just as durable as the Corning one. This
is the type of glass that tabletops are made from.
Heck, if I had the glass stock, *I'd* make it for you, but the
stock I have right now was rescued from an old display case,
and it's scratched.

With profuse apologies, I'm sure that this would make an
acceptable replacement- afterall, it was an accident. Good luck
in your hunt!!

My local $ Store has these. I'll be happy to send you some, Mamadude. Just
email me privately and we'll hash out the details.

Look in the party aisle of drugstores and grocery stores, also go the local
restaraunt supply store, and the local version of the dollar/discount store
(here it's MacFrugal's and OddLots or something along those lines...also check
walmarts and discount stores, look in party supplies, candy making, craft and
art supplies, outdoor/camping as well as housewares (shelf liner papers and
such).Over the years I have found 7 or 8 different plastic "lace" placemats and
several kinds of tablecloths. Also the catalogs around the holidays often
feature them. Fly swatters are good too!

I don't know if this is what you're looking for exactly, but I did a search on
ebay & this came up...
