Has anyone tried this? So much easier than Marshalls oils, pens or
pencils - and better, safer results!

Check out http://www.buyphotodye.com

We have been selling at shows and retail stores for a while now, and
now we are finally able to sell over the internet! You may have seen
us in the Jan/Feb issue of Memory Makers magazine - the cover story
was about photo coloring!

Feel free to e-mail me with any questions - we aim to please!

Thanks!

I've antiqued pictures using the free
software that came with my scanner...Adobe
Photo Deluxe...they look great, and there's
no chance of messing up your
original...there's also a feature that makes
any picture innto a black and white
photo...very nice touch...

OMG my mother paid for my orthodontics by colouring photos when I was 10 and
I'm 52 now. Only last week I asked her to teach me this lost art as she
used to use oil paints. It was so simple and I just love the smell of the
oil paint. She thinks it very strange that I want to learn this as "you can
get colour photo's now, dear!"

Yes! I have done that as well...different result from hand tinting
though...

One thing, I don't advise using an original photo for tinting...if it
an old photo you could ruin it forever! Get a negative made for it -
any photo lab can do it - then make prints from that.

The advantage to the Creative Photo Tinting dyes is that you have some
artistic control that you may not have on the computer...These dyes
are very easy to work with too - if you make a mistake, just add a dab
of water to a cotton swab and lightly wipe away the mistake before it
dries. Can't do that with oils!
Anyway, the computer alternative certainly has it's place, but hand
tinting really makes an artistic statement...

Well, Creative Photo Tinting dyes might not smell...but they are
archival, so they fade at the same rate as the photo, eliminating that
'painted over' look...softer tones and a more 'authentic' look right
off the bat. I hope to be at a number of shows this year - Look for
the Creative Photo Tinting booth, or try us out at
www.buyphotodye.com!
