Hello,

I am planning to paint a mural on my family room wall. Does anybody know what
kind of paint would be good to use or if some sort of sealant should be used?
Thanks in advance.

You will want to use a couple coats of (appropriate for your
substrate) primer first. That's the most important thing. Mural
painting comes up in rec.arts.fine occasionally(usually exterior),
so you may want to cross-post before starting on a big project like
that.

One thing that is Important: Make Sure Your Mural Paint is
Compatable with Your Wall Paint.
Example: If You use Oil Pant on the Wall(For the Base), Then Latex for the
Mural.
This will peal.
A Good Idea is to use the same Brand on each.
