I'd like to second this request, but mine is a little more specific.

Does anyone have an idea of where I can find a pattern of the spaghetti dinner
scene in _Lady and the Tramp_? I'd like to work this as a gift for my
roommate, but haven't found a pattern anywhere.

Thanks,
Sally

This was just extensively discussed on rec.crafts.textiles.
Evidently Disney does not sell any charts themselves and
does not allow anyone else to (several years ago there
were some published by various publishers but they are
no longer in print). You can buy a few kits only at Disney
theme parks and may be able to order them by mail order
from the parks (they are not sold in the Disney mail order
catalog or in the stores that are in some areas of the country).

Here's an idea for possibly making your own "Disney" pattern (for
personal use, of course!).

The newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.cartoons frequently posts
scenes from Disney movies, and there are also ftp sites which have
GIF files of Disney movie scenes.  I haven't tried the gif2xts
program that was discussed last week yet, but if that program does
produce a cross-stitch pattern from a .GIF file, you should be
able to create whatever Disney pattern you can find in GIF file
format.

If someone tries this, please let us know how it turns out!!

This has been discussed several times in rec.crafts.textiles.  Supposedly,
there was a Disney book in print in the 70's (Gloria & Pat?), but Disney
didn't like that, so it is no longer available.  One person did suggest
that it may be found at a local library.  Disney sells some kits.  There is
an 800 number you can call - I can't find it right now, but if you post the
question to the textiles group, I am sure someone will give it to you.  The
only other option seems to be to get a copy of the scene you want to stitch
and either scan it into a software program that can convert it into a chart
for you (I've seen lots of discussion of a great shareware one available
for PCs - unfortunately, I have a Max :-( ), or photocopy it with a piece
of graph paper in the size you want over the top.

I have a book by Gloria and Pat for Paragon needlecraft. It's AGES old.
I made Snow White for my niece for her first Xmas and she's 10 now.

Lady & the Tramp doing spaghetti is on page 19. Email your address and I'll
put the book in the mail (I won't be doing any more of these, I have 3 boys
who prefer dinosaurs over Mickey Mouse).

I've missed this information. Can somebody tell me, how to get gif2xts,
or perhaps (if it is not too big), mail it?

Ditto.  I missed it as well and would like to know where I can find this if it
is shareware.  Julie  jgrin...@indiana.edu
