Painting on Glass with something from Plaid Enterprises called Gallery Glass.
Does anyone know where I can get a url for Paid ? I've input it every which
way I can think of to no avail. I need copper or bronze liquid leading and
none of the craft stores I've been to carry it any more. Carole Smith has sold
some of the Gallery Glass and supplies on AVC but she only has the black/grey
leading.
Some paintings just don't do well with black/gray.
Anyone else paint with Gallery Glass, I'd love to hear some of your techniques
and would be happy to share patterns.

Hi, I`ve just discovered this ng, and found this thread on my main craft -
glass painting.

I`ve found that if you want a permanent paint you`ll need to use a solvent-
based glass paint (such as pebeo vitrail or lefranc & bourgeous vitrail), if
you wish to be able to scrub off if you make a mistake (such as marabu`s decor
glass) or if you want a peeable one (gallery glass - there are also some t-
shirt paints that can be used like that). (These are all available in UK.)
Having done hundreds of hours of glass painting and even taught it I can say
the main thing is to pick a simple design on something flat to begin with.

Sorry no phone #..
Maybe, if you call directory assistance with the addy, they can give you the
1800 #...and then Plaid can point you in the right direction for a
distributer near you.

I was in both Michaels and Joanns the other day, and Gallery Glass
seems to be the latest rage. They had plenty of patterns, paint and
kits. The only leading I noticed was silver (pewter?) but I really
wasn't looking that closely.

I was in Walmart today and Purchased Gallery Glass products...can't wait to
try it on a half moon shaped window in my master bedroom closet.

I bought a book, leading paint, and four other colors for about $20.00 US.
A lot cheaper than stain glass. Walmart sells a video for $5 that a
neighbor bought. We watched it and they explain in detail the process.
Sounds simple enough.

Leading color comes in silver (dark) and gold leading. Colors of paint
range from clear, frost to about 25 different and fun colors! Color kits
were available from walmart for $9.00 US. They included 5 paints plus a 2
oz bottle of leading.
