It would have worked better if they had excerpts translated properly

Ya know, as an atheist, I really wonder what this group is thinking
about. The whole point of being an atheist is distancing yourself
from a group of sheep that believe the same thing, but these assholes
seem to be inserting themselves in the community to interfere with
those sheep.

They would be the first ones bitching if xtian groups were out there
condemning atheists and ridiculing their beliefs, yet there they are
prosthelytizing every bit as much as a fucking Jehovah's Witness

Atheism is commonly defined as the position that there are no deities

You can't prove there is no god anymore than a theist can prove there
is one.

But you can probably prove the ones claimed do not exist and
that if any others did it could never be known & would not matter
anyway.

You do not need to claim a cause for NOT having any effect
and if you did you could claim any of billions & billions of "causes",
even ones that flatly contradict each other, and it would not matter.

Astrophysical explanation is not required. If you accept the Bible's
description of a deity able to create the universe from nothingness at a
spoken command, it follows logically that you would accept that said deity
is able to stop and restart the rotation of the earth as well, as the latter
task is clearly much simpler than the former. :-)

You're clearly agnostic as you believe that neither can ever be proven

wrong.

And the statement you should have said was:

That's not a great endorsement for the concept of a creator. Seems to me
using one absurd example as proof of another absurd example is a bit lame.,
just as man's concept of a creator is lame. If there is such an entity,
it/she/he has been exploited well by humans.

I don't believe it. There is no evidence that the sun has ever "stopped in
the sky", nor is that a conceivable notion. The closest you might come to
such nonsense is the fact that the earth's gravitational field changes
position with some long term regularity. That's hardly the same thing.

Ancient LSD is a reasonable explanation for some of those fables.

That isn't true. Atheism isn't believing in god. It has nothing to
do with providing answers. I don't pretend to have the answers
because to be perfectly honest, I don't know what the questions are...

"They"? That's presuming that atheists are a homogenized group that
follow a common belief. Most atheist don't belong to an organized
group and think all of the religious BS is for other people and aren't
particularly fazed by it.

It seems like the people that get upset about the 10 commandments, or
xmas in the mall or whatever actually belong to some type of religion
that takes exception to it.
