coming in the next two years. What Democrats promised to the
electorate in 2008, has been mostly done to a large extent. The next
two years will see little action, as Republicans in the House would
not effect a lot of changes.

I've been watching that ship of state with interest. Businesses are baling
like rats off a sinking ship. Wetbacks are flocking there, believing that
Mexico will take if back with the sheer number of Mexicans there and the

The conservatives need to start Day One "Senator Liberal,
Representative Progressive, please explain to the American people why
you voted for a bill you hadn't read, which contained the following
[1099 for everybody, 3.8% sales tax on houses, ear marks, subsidies,
etc]. That was in the bill you voted on, and we would like you to
defend your vote."
And explain to the people all along the way, that Obamacare is but

leadership as the Democrats.
One immediate choke point is the need to raise the federal
debt limit if the government is to continue to operate on
the "borrow and spend, spend, spend" basis past c. May 2011.
There now appears there are enough tea party legislators in
the house to prevent consideration/passage of such a raise
in the debt limit, and as the Vietnam era adage has it "when
you got them by the balls, their hearts and minds will
follow." However this may be done during the "lame duck
session" while Reed/Pelosi still have enough votes to ram it
through Congress by [unrecorded] voice vote.
The governmental shutdown that would result from the
Congressional refusal to increase the debt limit would be
highly disruptive, but will occur in only a few years
anyhow, when no one will loan to the U.S. government except
at usurious rates and in currency other than the U.S.
dollar. It may well be that the mule requires a good hard
belt [or several] between the eyes with a 2 X 4 to get his
attention.
It should be noted that at about the same time, i.e. May
2011, the chickens [buzzards?] will be coming home to roost
at the banks and quasi banks that caused most of the current
economic problems when they are forced to repurchase the
residential mortgage backed collateralized debt obligations
they stuffed with no-doc, liar, and sub-prime loans,
contrary to what they told the suckers [er - ah - investors]
that bought the crap including PIMCO, Black Rock, Met Life,
the NY FRB, and Freddie/Fannie.

Who else can they blame? For instance: A local deputy was stabbed
several times by a 'suspect' but the deputy pulled his 'gun' and fired
'several fatal shots' after he hit the floor. Does the Deputy get extra
credit for killing him more than once? How can the man be a 'suspect'
when he's slicing the deputy's neck open with a box cutter?
A couple years ago the local paper had a story about a pickup truck
that was hit & rolled on a local highway. The photos showed a truck,
yet they called it a car more than a dozen times, in print.

Some days, I believe they are being charged by the letter, other
times by the word, and all the time, it seems, by the "thought".
