Starting with all the Republicans so the Democrats can usher in some
real change for the better.
They need a new playbook, one that includes actual good things for America.
What they have presented so far is detrimental.
In every case Marxism has proven terminal.
Everything has been improving since Bush left office.

The Dummycraps have been trying to "usher in some real change" for the

Personally, I don't care for socialism. Let everyone work for what
they get, just as I had to. The only ones who should be given
anything are those who can not make it on their own due to medical
reasons.
Jim
If it's not Marxist, what would you call taking what I earned as a
working person and giving it to those who will not work just to "level
the playing field"? Government intervention in industry (General
Motors, Chrysler, medical care) and making people dependant on the
government, and suppressing the right and will of the people to
protest their government isn't Marxist? You are the ignorant piece of
shit if you actually believe that.
Jim
I suggest you read up on Marx and communism, and socialism, and try to
differentiate between "democratic socialism". Try to get some

I always wondered about this. If someone studies, say, underwater
basket weaving or its equivalent, what do they do when they graduate.
I mean, they have to make money somewhere.
That might include 0bummer soon. Word on the street is that he's

Arlen Specter told a lady at a town hall meeting, "Wait a minute, wait

First he tries to talk over her, then he tells her that he isn't being

That is arrogance.

No kidding. Even with only 40 republican senators that has been enough
to keep progress from being made. 40 is enough to hold up any
legislation they want. I understand that there are hundreds of bills
that have already been passed by the House and would be signed by the
president but those 40 republicans won't let any of them become law. I
wonder if that is how the founding fathers intended their government to
work, to have a minority preventing the majority from passing laws and
allowing the will of the people to be thwarted. I kind of doubt it.
After seeing how the republicans operate I can't understand why the
Democrats have any reason to try to work with them on anything and
should return the favor to them when the shoe is on the other foot.
But they probably won't. Which is why I don't like Democrats. If I was

I'd give it back to them even worse. Oh well, I guess I'll have to be

Calling their opponents Marxist or Communists or Socialist is what the
ignorant folk always do. They don't know jack shit about any of those
political systems. None of them has ever even cracked a book on the

of the right wing. You know who they are; Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity,
Palin, Limbaugh, etc. Do you notice something they all have in common?
None of them has a real college education or even any expertise in
anything. Yet they are out there telling people the Democrats are
Commies, Marxists, or Socialists, when none of them has any education or
real knowledge of what those things are. So you have the blind leading
the blind. Right wing mouthpieces without educations are out on the

Agree.
Clearly you are not an educated man. You don't understand the value of
education. You believe that specific training in fields like science or
engineering are valuable but you really haven't the faintest notion of
what the value of a liberal arts education is. If you truly valued
education you would not think that way. You speak like an ignorant man
and an uneducated one. Once someone receives a real college education it
puts them far above the average person. Which is why so many people want
one. Not just so they can make more money. The unfortunate thing is that
the ordinary man, with no formal education never understands what he's
missing unless he gets educated. You have shown you are one of them.
Think of it like in the old days or in the movies when you heard an old
man say to the kids, why do you need a college education? I did fine in
life without one so if you ain't got one you can do just fine too? Get
it? Probably not.
Hawke
Look at the statistics for people who graduate from college. Overall
they do a lot better in life than those without them. They make hundreds
of thousands of dollars more in their life than people without college
degrees. It has been shown that regardless of the specific area that one
received a degree in that person usually does better in all areas. Only
around 25% of Americans get a college degree. Regardless of what it's in
it usually pays to have one. Not only that, most people don't get a job
related to their college degree. You go to college to get educated. With
that education you go into your life better prepared than those who
don't. You will also notice that it is never educated people who say
negative things about people's degrees as being worthless or stupid.
It's always people who don't have an education who say things like that.
You know the type. The people who you can tell the minute they open
their mouths they don't have a college degree.
Hawke
What's the problem? Can't stand it that Obama has already done a better

And to Governor Moonbeam no less. Generally off year elections are boring
but this one is fun.
Yeah, it's like that. But only in a demented mind. In a rational mind
it's clear to see that the hole was dug all by the republicans who also
shit in it too. Then they bailed out and left it for someone else to
deal with. Keep pretending that Obama took a good country and made it
worse all you like. We know the truth. Obama took over a country that
was a basket case and has worked to fix it. You have to be a complete
kook to think that Obama is responsible for our problems. The problems
were there on his first day in office. Did you just forget? Nah, you
just made up a scenario that you can live with. One where all the good
goes to the credit of the right wing and all the crud is the fault of
the Democrats, even when the right wing ran things for nearly a decade.
Keep it up all you want. We know who gave us the shit sandwich on
2/20/09 and his name was Bush. Thanks again for giving us that piece of
crap, you moron. It's as much your fault the country sucks as anyone.
You voted in the republicans. You're to blame for our mess. You and your
right wing cronies. Now you want to do it again. You wouldn't know a
good president if he hit you in the mouth. Which he should for being
such a fool and putting republicans in charge. Which is like giving a
ten year old boy a gas can and a lighter. Just plain stupid.
Hawke
Yeah, I have to agree the Democrats are real weenies. At least most of
them. If they had balls they would have kicked the republicans in the
teeth the day they took over the country. Instead the tried to work with
them. Talk about naive. You don't work with republicans you crush them
under your heel. Shit, all they are out to do is ruin you so why not
strike first and strike hard? Trying to play nice with them is stupid.
Which is why I am not a Democrat.
I'm laughing a lot about Meg losing all that money but she earned it,
right? Better that she has a billion to waste on a stupid campaign than
for ordinary working people to have it to live on. She's as stupid as so
many other business people. She hasn't got a minute of experience in
government and because of her ego she thinks she should be able to walk
in and by spending huge amounts of money get put in the highest
political position in the biggest state in the U.S. Talk about having an
unrealistic view of herself. No experience but wants to run the whole
state. Too bad for her. She's going down. I can't think of a sound I
like better than hearing a republican lost. Too bad it isn't going to
happen to all of them. I feel sorry for the people living in the states
where they win. They'll pay for it just like we all wound up paying for
having Bush in the White House. It does make you wonder why they never
learn from their mistakes, doesn't it?
Hawke
I happen to have one. I have also been in the classroom for over
seven years as a substitute teacher before I retired and I have seen
the quality of education take a nose dive. A four year degree these
days is the equivalent to what a high school diploma used to be and a
high school diploma is basically useless as far as what the kids know
when they "graduate". Many of the kids who go on to college these
days are functionally illiterate. They don't read well, they can't
spell and their writing is atrocious. I fully agree with the premise
that not everyone needs a college education. Some people would be far
better off with an education in the old "vocational arts" classes and
specialized training after high school. College used to be a well
rounded education and even the scientists and engineers had some
exposure to the "liberal arts". We don't really need more poly sci
majors these days. Our standing among the rest of so called civilized
countries in education is something like 48th when it used to be near,
if not at, the top. College education isn't what it used to be.
Jim
If Obummer is the great messiah that you seem to think, why are his
approval ratings in the low 40s and getting lower? Why are even the
Democrat candidates shying away from him in this election? Why are
the Democrat candidates having such a tough time of getting
re-elected? Something doesn't add up here. I know, it's all Bush's
fault. Obummer and the Dummycraps have blamed everything else on him.

Two years ago, U.S. President Barack Obama enjoyed stratospheric approval
ratings and had virtually every Democrat and Independent voter in America

Today? That script has been flipped.
According to a new Harris Interactive poll, Obamas approval rating has
plunged to 37 percent with 67 percent of Americans holding a negative

independent voters disapprove of the job hes doing and 73 percent of all
voters disapprove of his economic policies, which have clearly failed to

Not according to the daily Gallop poll which, yesterday, showed him to
be at 48% DISapprove and only 43% approve. Of course, I don't really
trust polls anyway. I do, however, in the course of discussion with

It's a very inexact science, and the results are often intentionally

I think that's pretty obviously true.
Bye, bye, retard!
Yeah, I know what you mean. People keep blaming Hitler for WWII too. I
don't understand it. Why blame him? Maybe because he's the guy who did
it? Maybe people blame Bush because it was his right wing policies, that
he put in place with his republican congress, that caused the country's
problems. Yeah, maybe that's why people blame him. Because he was the
man responsible.
It wasn't Obama who deregulated everything. It wasn't Obama who put in
the tax cuts that put us in debt. It wasn't Obama who started wars in
two countries. It wasn't Obama who let the health care system decay for
eight years. It wasn't Obama who made the U.S. a country the rest of the
world looked at as a pariah. Nope it wasn't Obama who did any of those
things or who put in place the policies that put us in a recession. That
stuff was all done by Bush.
What Obama has done is pass health care changes and a stimulus bill to
try to get the country back on its feet. That's about it. Unfortunately,
he has not been able to make very many real changes so far. But when
you're busy trying to fix a country that is in horrible shape what do
you expect? He's is just one man, not a messiah, and nobody could have
fixed the mess we were in when he took over in less than two years. It
took more than two years to screw things up so you can believe it's
going to take more than that to get things right again. But if
republicans get power again just expect things to go backward again.
Last, the reason his popularity is down is simple. Unemployment is still
too high. So a lot of people are down in the dumps and they are
disappointed that Obama hasn't got them back to work. Jobs are the last
thing to come back in a recession. In a year or so when employment is up
so will be Obama's popularity. Just in time for the next presidential
election. Bad news republicans.
Hawke
It's going to be fun hearing you whine when the republicans don't get
the landslide you have already counted on.
Hawke
Sorry sucker, but I don't need to tell any of those people you mentioned
anything. I just reported that facts. Yesterday the airline industry
just reported record profits. You want to tell them that things aren't
better than they were two years ago? Housing sales of existing homes and
of new homes were both up in September. You want to deny that? The stock
market is way up from two years ago. Business profits are way up across
the board too. The facts speak for themselves, which is why you don't
like to acknowledge them. They make you look like an idiot. Things are
so obviously better after a year and a half of Obama in the White House
anyone with eyes can see it. Caterpillar is hiring people. So are quite
a few other companies. So as much as you would like to be able to say
Obama has done nothing to improve things the facts say the opposite. In
two years things will be even better. Too bad for you because that means
a sure victory for Obama is 2012. Good for the country bad for right
wing ignorant crackers.
Hawke
Jim, come into the 21st century. It takes 60 votes to pass anything in
the Senate. That's because the republicans filibuster every bill the
Democrats put forward. Try getting 60 out of 100 people to go along with
anything, especially Democrats. Ever hear the term Blue Dog Democrats?
Try getting them to go along with everything Pelosi wants. All it takes
is one senator to defect and the republicans can stop a bill. Look at it
that way. You have to have unanimous consent among the Democrats for
anything to pass and they are a contentious and unorthodox group of
people. There is almost always at least one or two Democrats who don't
go along because they are almost as conservative as republicans.
Senators like Lieberman is a good example. If he doesn't want to go
along with the other 59 senators then the bill doesn't pass. They need
to change the rules on filibusters. It should only take 51 to pass a
bill in the senate. That's how the founders set it up. That's how it
should be. Are you against the founders on this too?

with the debt? OVERSPENDING is the cause of the debt. If the
Congress would stoop spending everything they can get their hands on
through taxation and borrowing, the debt would eventually go away.
Obama has more than DOUBLED the debt left by Bush. Do you not
understand that? Of course not, you're a freaking liberal who thinks
that the great Obamassiah can do no wrong. It no longer matters what
Bush did, Obummer has been in charge, along with a Democrat House and

has he made his reign "transparent"? By sealing ALL records of his

any accomplishments while practicing law. He's "transparent" alright.
People are now beginning to see through him and his regime and will
soon change at lest some of it.
Jim
I know that it takes 60 votes to pass anything. The fact that I
pointed out, and you so graciously affirmed, is that the Republicans
are not solely responsible for anything that is blocked. The
Democrats have the 60 votes. They can't even convince their own that
what ever it is is worthwhile. You are showing yourself to be dumber

deliver the country from the hands of those evil people who want to
make a profit with their businesses.
Jim
Both Reagan and Bush's doubled the bet, too. Of course the debt is the
product of both reduced revenue and increased spending. It's simply
irrational to assert otherwise. But you've demonstrated your
irrationality by demanding that Obama produce his already produced and
verified birth certificate. So, how does it no longer matter what Bush
did as President in the preceding administration (i.e., crashing the
economy), but Obama's private records are matters of compelling public

You know very well if you don't address officers properly it's a bid
deal. But when a U.S. senator, which happens to be a lot higher
government official than even a general, simply asks to be called by the
proper title you find something wrong with that?
I saw that exchange live, by the way. The truth is it wasn't the least
bit insulting or condescending by Boxer. She simply told the man how he
should address her as a senator. He wasn't talking to anyone in the
military so calling her Ma'am was not proper for the circumstances. All
Boxer did was tell the guy how he should address any senator. He didn't
act the least bit offended or put down either. It really wasn't that big
a deal. Unless you're a right winger. Then it was some kind of giant
offense. Well, it wasn't.

Ho, ho, ho, ha, ha, ha. So you couldn't come up with a single word to

better now that we have Obama in the White House. I know you hate to say

that would take a man to do that. Which I how I know you won't do it. I

Hawke
Let me show you how you're wrong.
> You are proving yourself to be a bigger moron every day. Do you not
> understand that the supposed "tax cuts" have absolutely NOTHING to do
> with the debt?
Tax cuts have lots to do with the debt. Cuts in tax revenue are half of
the equation of income and spending. If you cut taxes you reduce
revenue. You can cut spending to maintain equilibrium if you want or you
can continue the same level of spending, in which case you increase the
debt. It's a matter of choice what a government does. But to say there
is no connection between tax cuts and debt is a very dumb thing to say.
Because they are clearly connected.
OVERSPENDING is the cause of the debt.
Or is it under taxing? Both add to debt. But there is no such thing as
overspending. There is simply not collecting enough in taxes. Which
causes a deficit, and that may or may not be a bad thing.
If the
> Congress would stoop spending everything they can get their hands on
> through taxation and borrowing, the debt would eventually go away.
Except that the spending they do is what their constituents want them to
do. Every dime spent goes to someone and they all want their money to
keep coming to them. It may be the military, or the seniors, or the
doctors and nurses, or businesses. All want the money they get to
continue. Ask them all to take a 25% cut and see how fast we cut the
debt. Problem is none of them wants a penny cut from what they get.
> Obama has more than DOUBLED the debt left by Bush. Do you not
> understand that?
Of course, but the problem is Obama had to spend because the recession
demanded it. He had to deficit spend because the economy was in the
worst recession since 1930. The government has to spend in that
situation. He didn't want to because we were already in big debt from
Bush but the emergency demanded it.
Of course not, you're a freaking liberal who thinks
> that the great Obamassiah can do no wrong.
That's wrong too. I've said numerous times that I have a quite a few
things I think Obama has handled badly and made the wrong choices. So
you're definitely wrong on that count too.
It no longer matters what
> Bush did, Obummer has been in charge, along with a Democrat House and
> Senate for two years now and things have only gotten worse.
It does matter because the mistakes that Bush made and the problems he
caused for the country didn't just stop the day he stopped being
president. He dug the hole the country is in. You don't fill a hole that
deep in a few months. If Bush had only made a few minor problems I'd
agree with you. But he didn't. He left the country in dire straights,
and that's why Obama should get credit for what he's done so far. Rome
wasn't built in a day.
He has
> done none of the things that he promised to do.
Oh yes he has. He's been doing all kinds of the things he said he would
do in his campaign. Like pass health care reform for one.
His biggest lie was
> that his presidency would be "transparent" and the American public
> would be more informed about the happenings in the White House. How
> has he made his reign "transparent"? By sealing ALL records of his

All of Bush's records are sealed too. Bush put in place extremely
restrictive controls over what anyone could get access to. The level of
secrecy in the Bush administration was unprecedented. Obama is far more
transparent than that. But Obama has gone along with the secrecy the
same way Bush did. I think Obama is wrong in doing that. See, there's
another example of me disagreeing with an Obama decision. The birth
certificate is bogus. Obama's birth certificate is public knowledge.
Only the ignorant still think that issue hasn't been resolved. Most of
us have seen it. I know I have. I saw Chris Matthews hold up a copy of
it on his show, Hardball. So try again. The birth certificate is moot.

including his real birth certificate, his colllege transcripts and any
records of his law practice. If he has nothing to hide, why did he do

Ford and Clinton. The national debt has increased every year in the

Jim
Of course they are connected. Nobody said differently. However, to
blame the tax cuts, which are a very small part of the equation, for
the entire problem, as the Dummycraps are trying to do, is ridiculous.
Your statement that if you cut taxes you can lower spending to
equalize is absolutely correct. The pproblem is, the politicians have
never met a spending bill they didn't like. They don't know how to
cut any government spending, even when that spending is beyond the
means of their income. If you tried to live like the politicians try
to run the government, you would be bankrupt very quickly.

Were you ever in the military? I was and found the officers were
humans. A few were hung up with their rank, but most would be not be
offended if you called them " Mister " or by their first name.
Dan
In the USAF, I was enlisted, and we were fond of saying "Don't call me
sir! My parents are married!" (you were required to call officers "sir"
or address them by their rank or rank and name.)
Cheers!
Rich
Why play dumb? You know that if a subordinate addresses an officer
improperly he gets in a lot of hot water. I'm sure you would agree that
showing proper respect for a superior officer is important. But when a
senator requests to be addressed in the proper manner that's "arrogant".
The truth is Boxer corrected the military guy because he did not use
proper etiquette for the circumstances. You have to be an ass to see
anything wrong with that. I guarantee if Jim Demint did the same thing
Boxer did in the same situation you wouldn't have even mentioned it.
That's because you're "Double Standard Jim".
Hawke
Exactly! But when Boxer asks for the same kind of respect she's
arrogant. Not a chance. Like I said, I was watching that hearing. She
didn't act arrogantly in the least. She just told the guy how she wanted
him to address her. After all she is a U.S. senator and that does
justify some level of respect, especially from people in the military.
Hawke
I pointed out that Bush sealed all his records too. So did Kerry. We
didn't get access to any of their college records. I don't blame any of
them from wanting to keep a few things out of the public domain. The
fact of the matter is Obama has more information about him available
than just about anyone ever in the White House. There are biographies on
him by reputable authors, there is his own autobiography, he ran for
president and for U.S. senator, so he was checked out and investigated
probably more than any man in history. He's an open book. There is
virtually no part of his life that isn't a public record. If there is
anything about him you don't know it's only your own fault. Because if
you want you can find out just about anything you could possibly want
about him.
You also don't seem to know much about the budget process. Do you know
how many budgets have been submitted under Obama's authority? One! When
Obama took over in '09 he was operating under Bush's last budget. That
one was appx. 1.3 trillion in debt. Obama's first budget was for the
fiscal year 2010 and it was about the same as Bush's last one. But
Obama's first budget had to deal with the worst recession in history and
an unprecedented amount of deficit spending to deal with it. His second
budget is for 2011. If you would just hold your panties for a while and
give him some more time he will get the economy going and that will
bring down the debt.
As to the stimulus bill it has worked. I know you are just repeating
what you have heard but the bill did a lot of good. Did you know that
300 billion of it went to the public in the form of tax cuts? That
helped stabilize the economy, by the way. Another 300 billion went to
the states to allow them to keep people on the job like firemen and
police officers and teachers. That also helped keep the economy from
tanking. The TARP money the government spent to stop the financial
industry from failing has almost been completely paid back too. So if
you knew the facts you would have a different opinion than you do now.
Well, maybe not.
But for me it's not that I believe in him so much as I believe that the
direction he is going in is the right one. We had to do something about
health care or go bankrupt. He's taken the first steps to getting that
under control. Once the economy is back on track Obama will have to
address the deficit. That will mean dealing with things like Social
Security and Medicare. Now that will be tough sledding because nobody
wants any cuts that affect them. Do you? Do you get anything from the
government? Want it cut 25 or 35 per cent? I don't get a dime from the
government but my parents get both Medicare and Social Security? You
think I want to see them get their benefits cut by a third? So cutting
spending as you like will not be so easy to do.
Hawke
What we share in common is that we can read and comprehend the English
language. That's why we all are well aware of how much better things are
than they were two years ago. Here's another one, private businesses are
sitting on 1.8 trillion dollars in cash. That's a record amount of money
just waiting to be put to work. Instead of businesses being in trouble
they are chock full of money to spend and are making excellent profits.
That says things are going to be much better ahead. But poor you, the
figures, the facts, and all the important information, is unknown by
you. That's what you get when you only watch Foxnews and listen to right
wing talk radio. Next time you really want to know the facts about the
business climate let me know. I'll be glad to inform you about what is
going on.

Obama claims to have been a "B" student in high school and even played on

In his book he mentions attending Occidental College on a scholarship. Where

He says he went to Columbia University next. They never heard of him. Where

Well, of course we know he went to Harvard, but guess what, no records!
Don't tell us he scored even lower than Kerry! That would rank the three as
