Can't blame him. How'd you like to be stuck in Taft for days or weeks on
end? A chance to get out of there and head down to L.A. would be like a
vacation. I guess it's all relative. I hate L.A. and wouldn't want to go
there for anything but Taft is truly an armpit of a place. So it's take
one bad place or another. No good choice, but Taft's the worst.

Or that someone might make that announcement and be well armed, while
waiting for the thieves. It's happened before, where someone lives in
an area that has been burglarized several times. There was a recent
news story about a deputy sheriff waiting overnight in a factory that
was closed. Someone had been stealing copper wire. The deputy shot the
guy in the leg when he refused to stop, then they found out he had been
one of the maintenance men before the place closed. He did about 30,000
in damage to the property for a couple hundred dollars in scrap copper.

No, what is interesting, but only slightly, is that this is the best you
have to do with your spare time.

No need to answer.

I tend to think NYC is the armpit of the earth. Some might argue differently. Different
people, different tastes.

Last time I was in Taft was never. Taft was nothing more than a sign on
I5 I used to pass when I was heading north out of L.A. It's a "suburb"
of Bakersfield, which was always a place that everyone avoided because
it sucked so bad. Bakersfield sits at the base of the mountains that end
north of L.A. It's right at the beginning of the San Joaquin Valley,
which goes all they way up California until you get to Sacramento. It's
always been a place you drove through without stopping anywhere. You
didn't stop unless you had to. It's nearly as dry as a desert with
nothing but sand, sagebrush, and tumble weeds for vegetation. It's
hotter than crap most of the time. Nobody went there except for people
working in the oil business because at one time it was a big oil
producing area. Oh, losers and misfits too. But if you've ever been to
Bakersfield, your loss, then you know exactly what Taft is like except
it's even worse. I'm not surprised Gummer lives there. I've been all
over the country and it's got to be one of the shittier places I know
of. You can tell how popular it is by how much it has grown over the
last few decades, none. It's not a destination point for anyone with
half a brain, which again explains why Gummer has chosen it for his
place of residence. It's like the old song by Creedence Clearwater
Revival, Stuck in Lodi Again. Lodi used to be a real shitty jerkwater
town but it was never as bad as Taft. If you ever drive up I5 take my
advice. When you see the big green sign that says Taft. Just keep driving.

So you wish a fellow human being to die that never harmed you? Do you often engage in
schadenfreude?

Turn in your guns if you have them, you are mentally ill and a prohibited person. Seek

This is not unlike what we've seen before from the libtards and their hate
for their brothers and sisters. It will be sad to watch them go during the
Great Culling. But then we'll always have the memories. They can't take
those away. Sniff.

I can't help it. Sometimes the conservative in me just comes out whether
I want it to or not. Besides, I've been pro death for a long time. So
wanting to see the end of some people isn't anything new for me. I've
been thrilled lately with the passing of a bunch of conservative icons.
Call me what you want. I'm just being real and not pretending to care
about people I dislike. Besides, I'm just happy to see some people go,
as you probably are too. I don't actually make it happen though.

===========
As was posted in another thread, one of the major problems with
"charismatic" leaders in both politics and private business is
succession, which too frequently is exacerbated and compounded by
their inability to know when to quit [while they are ahead].

Given the increasingly rapid changes and evolution of society,
industry, and the general environment, "leaders" that long
overstay their competency/vision are an ever increasing problem,
as are the ones that continue to cling to power even with
debilitating physical and/or mental conditions.
