I hope that Qualcomm starts releasing specifications for their
wireless chipsets. I have a wireless modem with a "GPS
capability". The wireless modem works under Linux, but the modem does
not. The reason why it does not work is that there are some AT
commands to be sent to the modem to make it start output NMEA 183 data
from its GPS. What are those commands seems to be a big secret. If I
could know those commands, I would use it with gpsd.

I meant "but the GPS does not".

Mebbe the perncious effects of the insidious Jon Banquer, Resident Thief at
Qualcomm, made it outside the repair shop where jb (still?) works, and into
Corporate???
Mebbe management caught B. coli, (Banquerichiae coli), the bacterium that
causes Incompetence??

Kramer panned them yesterday.
Says to dump the stock until they have shown at least two quarters of
positive results.
