Isn't it funny this sort of news usually doesn't get on the "main
media"? A while back Carl Rowan, a writer turned congressman and a
vocal anti-gun guy shot an intruder in his D.C. home. I wonder if
anyone ever thinks to ask if the guns were registered. Oh, to be among
the "elite"! Dick

Democratic Anti-Gun Senator Shoots Intruder

Looks like it took about three weeks to surface & start making the email
rounds. another one we didn't see on the National News.... Wonder Why?
Of course not!!

Anti-Gun Senator Shoots Intruder Elitism at its finest!
It appears that once again, what's good for the goose is not necessarily
good for the gander as far as liberals are concerned.. In other words,
they say one thing but mean two sets of rules:
one for them, the intellectual elite and another for the unwashed
masses.

This NC Democrat State Senator is a die-hard anti-gunner. He has voted
for every anti gun bill that has crossed his desk, but when someone
invaded his house, he picked up a gun for self defense.
Hypocrites!

Aug 24, 2009 "Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R. C. Soles,
74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, about
5 p.m. Sunday", the prosecutor for the politician's home county said.

The victim, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but
the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex
Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties.

The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's
Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said.
Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday
evening.

"I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone.
"I'm right in the middle of an investigation."

Soles, a top-ranking Democrat and the longest-serving member of the
legislature, already was the subject of an SBI investigation over sexual
misconduct allegations with former male clients.

The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for
the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun
when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim..

In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do As I Say And Not As I
Do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what
apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical you may ask?
It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he
took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life
threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens
should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.

It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and
personal safety are far more valuable than yours or mine.... But, this
is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, manage
our money, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.

The mind boggles. Supreme hypocrite gummer, who rails against
socialism day-in and day-out while he and his family accept more
handouts than an entire apartment house full of lesser deadbeats, is
now accusing somebody else of hypocrisy?! And how the heck did he
decide whether to post the article as a home defense anecdote, or as a
hypocritical indictment of hypocrisy anyway? Apparently he hates
"dems" more than he loves guns. LOL

A person would be stupid to not accept the handousts if they needed
them, especially if it not taking it meant dying, even if it conflicts
with their values.

That is what is so evil about the government taking on the role of day
to day charities.

My boss who is ALL ABOUT personal responsibility was the first in line
to get cash for clunkers. Go figure?

Gummer has no values. He only says that he does. The issue at hand has
nothing to do with anyone being stupid to refuse handouts, but
everything to do with a handful of readers being stupid enough to
believe a word he says. In fact, the word stupid doesn't quite cut it.
For example, he sits at his keyboard, frequently cranking out hundreds
of posts per day, many of them claiming that he's a hard worker. If
you believe crap like that over your own two eyes, then you have no
right to call anyone else stupid, ever.

>That is what is so evil about the government taking on the role of day
>to day charities.

There's nothing inherently evil about government charity. What's evil
is phonies, secure in the belief that their bennies won't be cut off
because they trust in the good nature of taxpayers, lobbying in the
hope of taking from others what they themselves are getting. What's
also evil is you and gummy and other nitwits scapegoating others when
you know damned well that people like him are a large part of the real
problem. Consider that if a family of 4 normal deadbeats was receiving
$1000 each per month, it would take them 73 years to collect as much
as gummy's family has leeched thus far. Consider also that at 5%, the
interest on the gummer fandamily's handouts thus far is nearly $15,000
per *month*. Yet quitting his nicotine and Dew diet to limit future
handouts, or even stopping his self-destructive Usenet addiction, are
"sacrifices" that phony survivalist gummer just can't seem to manage.
He, and you, have a friggin dump-truck load of gall to be blaming
anybody else for anything. If you A-holes want to do something useful
instead of making a career of advertising your moronic blowhard
natures, then start lobbying to reduce the cost of medical care.

>My boss who is ALL ABOUT personal responsibility was the first in line
>to get cash for clunkers. Go figure?

I figure there could be some hypocrisy involved, but not necessarily.
The idea of your boss investing in a subsidized new car was to promote
vehicle sales and stimulate the economy, both of which it did. I'm not
in a position to judge the program's cost-effectiveness yet, and
neither are you. Particularly since you always support your whacked
positions with horseshit that only makes sense to other crackpots.

Now, get you butt over to Youtube and watch this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ery7RZ4tZ2Y. Hear what that
straight-talker said about bacon and getting out of the way? It's
asshats like you and gummer that he's talking about.

You're deluded. You, like most of the entire world, paid for every
stupid decision of the prior 8 years. And now you're going to pay to
try to fix it. If you had half a brain, then you'd be hoping for
success instead of lobbying to encourage failure and fantasizing that
it's somehow going to be good for you.

I've never seen a single logically-argued post from you. As far as I
can tell your mind is as deep a black hole as gummy's. BTW, one of the
other crackpots believed that his positions were correct as well.
Remember his invisible June revolution? Of course not, you morons

You're every bit as indoctrinated as all the other crackpots - blind
to reality and eager to rationalize stupidity with ever more
stupidity. Look at what you got into this thread to say - that a
career of deadbeatitis equals survivalism. And you defended that by
claiming that all of your positions are "correct". You're not a whit
different from a patient at a mental institution asserting that he's
qualified for release.

Did he vote against the right of law abiding citizens to
own guns, or for measures to help keep them out of the
hands of people who are unfit to own them?

Probably. Shooting a trespasser using his pool ???

But perhaps a bit senile by then too.
And 'twas his daughter's gun IIRC. Raises some

Dunno... Gunner lying *OR* anyone else on earth lying. I'd have to
assume Gunner to be the liar. Unless of course, the alternatives were
Cheese-Bob, Tool, Klinton, Bush... Then it'd be tougher to determine.
