Just curious. Did you notice that you mentioned most of the TV media in
your post. You said all of them except Fox are socialist sources. You
are saying that all American TV news sources are socialist except for
Foxnews. See anything wrong with that analysis? Especially when I'm sure
you have at least heard that Foxnews is known as the right wing network.
Is it possible that Fox is the right wing network and the others are the
middle of the road ones? Could it be that to you any network other than
Fox is left wing? You should give that one some thought.

It wouldn't matter where I lived I could still recognize bias when I see
it. Foxnews is the most biased network in the U.S., it's virtually a
wholly owned network outlet for the republican party.
I watched the other networks for years too. Some of them do have a left
leaning bias. No station is free of a political viewpoint. The hypocrisy
is for the most biased network to maintain a fiction that it's "fair and
balanced" when it's anything but that. The other stations, and I watch
them all, do much better at being objective. None succeed completely but
none of them are as blatantly supportive of one particular party as Fox
is, not even MSNBC. Fox promotes republicans and right wing ideology
24/7. Whether it's the Christian programming it has, the glorification
of war and the military, or the far right wing hosts on all evening
long, Fox is promoting the right wing agenda. None of the other stations
are even close to doing what Fox does. I know you won't see it that way
but that doesn't matter. Fox has a worldwide reputation as right wing.
It's understood everywhere. Everyone but the faithful Fox audience know
it's a right wing network. That doesn't bother me at all. I watch it
occasionally. But unlike most of the viewers, I know Fox is all about
promoting right wing causes. That's okay but pretending not to be is
what is offensive. If they would just say Fox News, the right wing
network, I'd have no problem with them. But they have to lie about what
they are and that does bother me.

Look. When even you admit that Fox is right of center that means
something. You know you are not a middle of the road person but a right
wing person. So if even someone on the right like you can see Fox is not
what they pretend to be what do you think everyone else thinks? The fact
is that Fox is a right wing network. The owner Rupert Murdock of the
parent company, Newscorp, is a right wing guy. So is the head of the
station, Roger Ailes. All the hosts are right wing and so are just about
all the on air people. They push the Christian, family values,
conservative line all year long. So how can they not be the right wing
network? Like I said, I have no problem with having right wing networks
and stations. I just want them to quit pretending they are unbiased but
all their competitors are. That's just plain baloney. They should just
say they support the republican party.
Hawke

They accurately reflect America, which is a Christian, family-values,
slightly right of center nation, therefore they are NOT biased, they
are fair and balanced.
Anything left or right of them IS biased and does NOT reflect America

Unbiased means unbiased. Obviously you don't understand what that means.
Reflecting what the majority thinks or wants is not unbiased. Fair and
balanced means you don't have a point of view. It means you have no
agenda and represent no one but the facts. Fox does represent right wing
republican values so by definition, it's biased.
> Anything left or right of them IS biased and does NOT reflect America
> including ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc.
So Fox is how everyone else is judged? That's the standard? Quit with
the jokes. Fox is a right wing station not a fair and balanced one. The
truth is the other stations are far closer to fair and balanced than Fox
is. You just can't see it. You don't understand what fair and balanced
is. Proof is you think Fox isn't biased when everyone else knows it is.
You need to wake up and smell the coffee.
>> They should just say they support the republican party.
>
> They don't.
Then why do they have so many republicans working for the network and
why are most guests and pundits republicans? Just by chance? If you read
the republican party platform it would be just what Fox News is putting
on the air every day.
Hawke
No, he has a point. To be a true American Centrist is to be a bit
conservative, in relation to the world at large.
The core of Fox appears to reflect that, although the pundits with
their own shows may have views further to the right, just as the local
newspaper has columnists who champion vies that differ from the parent
company.
As to your last question, the few times I've seen a Liberal Democrat on
a fox show, they've not performed well. And I'm being kind here.
But for the most part, the Fox hosts are respectful of the opposing view
and the people who espouse them, both to their face and in
post-interview commentary. I can't say that for most of the other
outlets, though a couple of them seem to be finally making an effort to
do better.

How is it that you come to that conclusion? This idea that Americans are
conservative in general is not a fact it's an opinion. People have many
different views on things and you can't put a lot of people neatly into
groups. I have some liberal views and some conservative ones but I don't
fit into either party. So if you say Americans are a bit conservative
that's true but you can say they're a bit liberal and it's true too.
Trying to say what the American people are is a rhetorical trick that is
meant to say the public sides with your point of view. You hear people
say the American people believe this or the American people want this or
that. It's baloney. Americans are divided on most things.
> The core of Fox appears to reflect that, although the pundits with their

The facts are as I said. From the top on down just about everyone on the
Fox network is a republican/conservative/right winger. When people on
Fox say that everyone at MSNBC is a liberal that's about right. Then
they say with all those liberals it's no wonder the network is biased to
the left. If that is true for MSNBC then it's also true for Fox. You
don't have an organization filled with right wing leaning people and not
have the organization be right wing leaning too.
> As to your last question, the few times I've seen a Liberal Democrat on

I've seen a lot of Fox News programming. I agree that for the most part
the right wing hosts are civil and professional in their dealings with
Democrats. But their right wing bias is also clear to see. I have also
seen left wing hosts like Ed Schultz and Keith Olbermann do the same
when they have republicans on their shows. But it's like I said from the
beginning, I see nothing wrong with having a left leaning network like
MSNBC and a right wing leaning network like Fox. My only beef is when
they pretend they don't have a bias and from what I've seen only Fox
acts like they are right smack down the middle of the road and have no
bias at all. That's a crock and it makes me wonder who they are trying
to fool. Apparently, the only people who believe that malarkey are the
people who get all their news from Fox.

Sucks to be as dumb as you...

The poll says 40% are conservative. The number who are not conservative
is 56%. That's most Americans who are not conservative, according to the
poll. How dumb. You say most Americans are conservative and then post a

Support or promote? They're not the same. Besides, it all depends on
what you call family values. Everyone comes from a family. Most people
share common values and ideals in any society. I'm talking about what
Fox promotes which is old fashioned Christian values. Those aren't the
values we all share. Some of them but not all. So what are the people
who believe in some "family values" and reject others? Your attempt to
put everyone in one basket so they back up your argument doesn't work.

Again this is a question of what they government should do. That's a
completely different question from whether you have traditional family
values or not. It's about what values should the government favor. I say
none. That's not its role but I am not for too much government
interference in our lives like you are.

Fox is not impartial. It promotes a specific set of values that
conservatives call "family values". That is enough to prove Fox is not

The represent the values of right wing Christians, that's true. But that
doesn't make them "American values". The point is Fox represents a
specific point of view, which makes them biased.
> Since America IS a mostly Christian, mostly Conservative, family

It certainly is not. It may be that it represents the majority view but
the majority view, the minority view, or any point of view means it's
not an impartial point of view. Fair means it doesn't represent any
specific view. It's like the old saying, there's no cheering in the
press booth. You won't understand that so I'll explain. When reporters
are covering a sporting event they are supposed to report the game and
not cheer for one side or another. Fox is in effect cheering for one
particular side. You really can't understand that?

Sorry but I'll say anything I want. 95% of the people at Fox are right
wingers and how they are registered means nothing. It's their ideology
that is right wing. I'll bet everybody there voted for Bush when he ran

I've seen the shows myself. Hannity, O'reilly, Beck, they have tons of
right wingers on the shows and a few liberals to make it look good. When
they have a liberal on it's always the host and a right winger against
one liberal.
