There is a link just to the right of the video frame with the assembly
instructions:

Apparently there are quad/4 and (okto) octo/8 versions too.

I just spent an hour watching that and several more
that the links popped up at the end. Thats almost
unbelievable. I still haven't figured out how the
translation is obtained, the props are fixed pitch.
Those motors are just something else. I guess he is
Russian from the text. I have to get the teacher
of the shop to look at the construction of the
motors (one of the other videos).
All I can say is WOW!!!

2.2 lbs of RDX? Better answer your Census questions or the Feds will be able to send one
to your front door. ;)

You were going to say "exploratory copies of garage sale ads", right?
I thought so.

I never got into RC, either. Some friends did and never wanted to
relinquish control, so I never got enough time on one to develop a
jones for it. Batteries didn't last worth a squat back then, either.

Cool.

I am guessing that 1/2 the motors run CW and 1/2 CCW. throttling up or
down one bank or the other will do the turning, similar to tail rotor
control. Adjusting the front or back drive will create the tilt,
similar to the pitch control.
Adjusting all the motors is equivalent to the throttle/collective.

What am I missing?
Impressive performance. Perhaps the key is the batteries/motors, and
the gyro/gps/control interaction.
