We must be grateful to Hollywood for introducing a new meaning of
'liar' to the great unwashed masses. So the morons have another tool
for hatemongering and character assasination, while maintaining a
cheap veneer of deniability. So what?

I must say it is nice to see the principles if Newspeak and Ingsoc
gaining ground against the ravages of conventional English and direct
democracy.

Mitt's Plan

On his first day in office, Mitt Romney will issue an executive order
that paves the way for the federal government to issue Obamacare waivers
to all fifty states. He will then work with Congress to repeal the full
legislation as quickly as possible.

In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state
the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own
citizens. The federal governments role will be to help markets work by
creating a level playing field for competition.

Restore State Leadership and Flexibility

Mitt will begin by returning states to their proper place in charge of
regulating local insurance markets and caring for the poor, uninsured,
and chronically ill. States will have both the incentive and the
flexibility to experiment, learn from one another, and craft the
approaches best suited to their own citizens.
Block grant Medicaid and other payments to states
Limit federal standards and requirements on both private insurance
and Medicaid coverage
Ensure flexibility to help the uninsured, including public-private
partnerships, exchanges, and subsidies
Ensure flexibility to help the chronically ill, including high-risk
pools, reinsurance, and risk adjustment
Offer innovation grants to explore non-litigation alternatives to
dispute resolution

Promote Free Markets and Fair Competition

Competition drives improvements in efficiency and effectiveness,
offering consumers higher quality goods and services at lower cost. It
can have the same effect in the health care system, if given the chance
to work.

Cap non-economic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits
Empower individuals and small businesses to form purchasing pools
Prevent discrimination against individuals with pre-existing
conditions who maintain continuous coverage
Facilitate IT interoperability

Empower Consumer Choice

For markets to work, consumers must have the information and the power
to make decisions about their own care. Placing the patient at the
center of the process will drive quality up and cost down while ensuring
that services are designed to provide what Americans actually want.
End tax discrimination against the individual purchase of insurance
Allow consumers to purchase insurance across state lines
Unshackle HSAs by allowing funds to be used for insurance premiums
Promote "co-insurance" products
Promote alternatives to "fee for service"
Encourage "Consumer Reports"-type ratings of alternative insurance plans

Nope, that's a lie.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/04/romney-adviser-fields-questions-on-pre-existing-conditions/

As governor of Massachusetts, Romney signed a health reform law which
included protections against people with pre-existing conditions being
denied health coverage or being charged higher prices.

Fehrnstrom explained that Romney supports giving states power to
determine what plan best suits their local needs, but also supports a
guarantee of coverage for those who, absent legislation, might be denied
insurance or reach coverage limits, an aim of Obama's legislation.

"The governor believes that those who have continuous coverage should
not be dropped, if they change plans and have a pre-existing condition.
But states are well situated to manage these issues," he said.

Romney has said in recent interviews that coverage for individuals with
pre-existing conditions would be part of his plans.

"My plan is to help bring down the cost of this extraordinary health
care inflation, and so instead of putting in place what's affectionately
known as Obamacare, I would repeal that and replace that with measures
that are designed to help bring down the cost of health insurance and
make sure at the same time people have access to health care,
preexisting conditions are able to be covered," he said on "Live with
Kelly and Michael" in September.

And in an interview for "Meet the Press," Romney said "I'm not getting
rid of all of healthcare reform," specifically naming pre-existing
conditions, coverage for "family up to whatever age they might like,"
and reform the law which lets companies buy insurance for their
employees pre-tax, a benefit not granted to people shopping individually.

Romney also said an individual mandate that many or all people obtain
health coverage is not necessary to implement coverage of pre-existing
conditions and extend coverage of young adults under their families' plans
