Consider that President Barack Obama is dealing with huge issues such as
Afghanistan, bank regulation, unemployment and ending the uniquely American
nightmare of "prior medical condition."

Consider rather that a few hours with Palin will dish out details on who was
mean to whom in the McCain campaign, and who paid for those very nice clothes.

Republicans were once lead by a serious man named Eisenhower, who had a few
successes on his resume, such as liberating Europe from Nazi Germany and, in
time, the Soviet Union.

Fixated on the Palin soap opera, Republicans and their fellow travelers to the
fringe have come a long way.
