What kind of 12oz bottles should I use to bottle mead, clear, green of
brown? Should I start saving my Bass Ale bottles or should I start drinking
a green bottle beer?
thanks again.

Dark glass is always preferable, but it takes a long time for light to
ruin wine and mead...since it is more of a temp issue than light
wavelength issue.

Caveat, if you make a braggot with hops it is essential that you keep
it in brown bottles (or keep it out of the light).

750ml, 1 liter, and 1.75 liter bottles would be a better choices.
Brown and Green are good choices. Clear bottles are a bad choice.

I always bottle 1 clear glass bottle for ever batch of mead and wine I
make though...just to easily see into it, to see if it is throwing a
sediment, and gauge color development.

My favorites are some cobalt blue sake bottles I got from a recyucling
container. I wish that sake drinker woudl get me more of them..

Leave some sake on his front door step and wait a few days for an empty
bottle to reapear in the recycling bin. Thanks for the idea, i think those
blue sake bottles are cool. Maybe i can get some from the neighborhood sushi
store.
