Help? Tying a nice looking knot to a gift card and flash drive . . .

Hi.

I hope someone here can help me.

I have several flash drives I have accumulated over the last three
years, and have been attaching them to key tags, but these are not
really big enough, and not enough different colors to distinguish
them.

Then I thought of the used gift cards I have in the dek drawer, and
thought they would be the right size for this, and have a wide variety
of pictures and colors (and sometimes odd shapes).

I would like to make the attachment look good, though.

I have experimented with 1, 2, and 3 holes, and a spool of Handy
Hundred, but I am not too satisfied with the results.

Remember, these cards are trash, so it does not matter if I punch
holes in or deface them in any way; they will not be used for value in
the future.

Any suggestions on what would be a nice knot or set of knots for
this? How many holes in the card?

Etc.

If you're just connecting two objects that both have a hole, a Cow
Hitch (Lark's Head) or Bull Hitch (Piwich Knot) will work for an
endless ring of cord, bungee, hair tie, etc. :

If you don't have such endless rings, a cord could be threaded through
each hole and connected at the ends with a bend of your choice to
complete a sling:

That keeps things to one knot. What did you have in mind for a
"nice-looking knot"? Do you mean clean-looking or were you hoping for
something ornate?

Errmmm . . .

Back a few years ago, when I put out a Travel Bug for GeoCaching, I
did this:

Which has True Lovers' Knots and triple overhand knots on the loose
ends.

That's about as far as I ever went with knot tying, though. I'm not
sure I could do that True Lovers' knot without looking it up again.

I just thought there might be something that would look especially
good going through one, (or two, or three, or four) holes in a plastic
card . . . something I would probably have never heard of . .

So I suppose that means "ornate."
