Greetings,
I am retiring from the stained glass business due to age and
health reasons. I am looking to sell my collection of vintage Chicago
Art glass. I worked for their studio for years and was often paid in
glass instead of money. When they went out of business about 1987 I
bought all I could afford. Chicago Art was the first company to make
glass that was really like what Tiffany made. Had it not been for a
falling out between the partners, I'm sure they'd still be in business
today. I have about 250 full sheets and 250 half sheets and a dozen
or so boxes of cut-ups 4x8" to 8x18"which are about 150 lbs each.
These pieces are the best of their best, and ideal for lampshades or
landscape windows I am selling this at less than what the wholesale
price was at that time.I am located near Chicago.
I sample pictures to any interested parties. My headers are
faked to try to avoid spam. If you are interested, e-mail me at:

Chicago Art Glass is back in business and has been for a number of years.

But not the vintage collectable stuff. You're closer to Chicago than me. I
think you should run over and pick it up Andy! I'll split it with you.

True, but not the same, and none of the big wholesalers even carry it
now!

well, i'm in for some, too, but he doesn't seem to want to ship. I haven't
got anywhere near enough time to 'run' up there in between shows so how's
about you guys cutting me in on the deal and then having a little vacation
here in the south? you could just drop it off on your way to the beach
;>)......... m

Naw...you're closer. Portland, OR to Chicago is about 2100 miles. New
York City to chicago is about 850 miles. Try and get me some nice
blues and some deep purples!

Sorry, didn't know about these. I know that Hoy's does not carry it,
and neither does Hollander Central which is here near chiczgo. There
have been times I wish I could get some of a certain color. Won't
need to now. It's been a good 26 years but now it's time for the
rocking chair by the woodstove.

I have two prospective buyers, but no money has changed hands yet. I
should know by the end of this week. Thank for asking. Bill

If the successful buyer happens to be in the SE, be sure to give him my
email address.

That's as the crow flies Andy, but in reality it can take as long to get
through 5 miles in NYC as it will take you to drive to St Louis!

But if he winds up in St Louis while going from Portland to Chicago,

Sounds like fun. Is that lady on your website with the gather of hot
glass still hanging around there? ;)

So... she's more experienced. With glass. A lady with a gather of glass
is ageless.
