So I've got a batch of cider fermenting along. And I was wondering
if people have just racked off the current batch and poured in new
cider onto the existing yeast cake. I've done this for beer and it
works pretty well. I didn't know if its different for cider or not.

I've done it before, and didn't notice any fundamental difference in
flavor or behavior (other than less lag).

Seems to me the upside would be that lack of trub might make cake reuse
more practical in cider. The downside might be that the generally-higher
ABV in cider might be harder on "used" yeast.
