Currently I use two standard turkey fryer burners (single burner with a
diverter plate to spread the flame) for brewing and they do pretty good.
I was thinking about upgrading to a banjo burner to get better heat
distribution, but I've read the concerns about how much propane they
use. So my question is, for those of you who've tried both, do you
notice a significant difference in propane usage?
Thanks!

I use both but not long enough that I've noticed a difference.
However, the turkey fryer burner is for my HLT and the Banjo is for my
BK so of course I'll use more propane with the Banjo since it'll run
longer. If you're looking to save money on propane why not build a
heat stick to assist the burner? http://www.cedarcreeknetworks.com/heatstick.htm
