I went to my first Ring and Things wholesale show today. You must
have an invitation or a tax number to get in. They were turning
retailers away at the door.
They had a huge variety of gemstones which were 50% off plus another
15% off. Most of the strands were $9.00 and up. Lots of turquoise,
coral, jaspers, kyanite (both green and blue), shell, abalone, Tigers
Eye. Mostly larger beads. Also Bali, though I was not impressed with
their prices. Their findings were not discounted, though the prices
were good, I bought a gross of silverplated toggles for $7.45.
Swarovski were not discounted either.
It was a fun show - it was actually cool in there, opposed to most
shows. I bought some larger diamond shaped Moss Agate, a brilliant
green, two heart shaped Hormophodite (green) strands at $9.00 minus
the discounts, black AB FWP at $9.00, turquoise barrels @ $26.00,
diamond cut Bali rounds at $22.50, Sodalite rounds $11.00, Amazonite
6mm rounds @$9.00 (both for a class next week), and some plated spacer
beads, also for the class.
This is a 4 hour show. Thought they had a large variety of most
gemstones, not a lot of glass except Chinese crystal and Chinese
lampwork.
It was fun, and I'll probably go to another one.Like I need more
beads, rofl. If you spent $100.00 after discounts, they gave you a
coupon for free shipping on your next order.
It was a very well run show, only four hours. They also had large
aisles, which I appreciated, and lots of people on the cash registers.
