Hi everyone,
I just wanted to thank you all for the warm welcome yesterday. Everyone has
made me feel right at home :-) And also, thank you all for the very kind
comments about my quilts. You really know how to make a girl feel good :-).
I appologise for not sending individual thank you's....My eldest son is home
on leave from the Army before going to his permanent duty station. He loves
being on the computer, and I'm just letting him enjoy the time he has here.

Thanks again,

Aww!

And Lisa, if you like art quilts, I have a bunch of artists' links you might
like (though you probably already have them on your Favorites list)......Let me
know and I'll send 'em to you for fun and enjoyment.

Yes, Sooz,
I would love to have the url's if you have them handy! I don't spend much
time just looking at eye candy, and I prolly should....it would be better
for my pocketbook than the usual ebay shopping ;-)

I have my bead from Ginger sitting out on my worktable, and I have to say,
it's starting to grow on me. I'm getting ideas of what colors would go with
it. I'm thinking something lavendar colored-for sure-along with golds, and
maybe some fushia to spark things up. I'll have to see if fushia works or
not. I'll be going to New Hampshire next month to visit a friend of mine,
and we're planning on some major bead shopping while I'm there. I'm going to
take my bead with me.

Ah, is that far from your home? I was used to Andy being away at school, but
he could come home on weekends.

Ft. Drum - Upstate New York - seems so very far away to me. But he's going
to end up even further away. After finishing training at Ft. Drum, he'll be
going to either Iraq or Afganistan. I'm not going to worry about it til it
happens though. He *thinks* he may apply for the Rangers or Special Forces.
That would be fine with me, as it would keep him in the states longer, I
hope anyway.

I just don't put Ginger's beads into bracelets, or really looong necklaces that
will bang against things. (I'll send you the quilt art links in an email.)

Since those are not things I normally like to make, I don't even think of
here beads as being unusually delicate.

Thank you!
This is something that I needed to know. I had thought about making a long
necklace with my bead, but I think now I'll keep it short, to wear with a
v-neck shirt or something like that. I appriciate you sharing that info with
me Sooz!
