My craft room is a mess! I no sooner get it cleaned up than I mess it
up. Am I alone in this? Also, I have
tried a couple different ways of organizing my beads, but never seem
to do it right. First, I tried color; then,
I tried type, i.e. crystals, pearls. After I finish organizing it one
way, I always seem to want to redo it. I
think I have a syndrome known as "Bead Schizophrenia." But, I keep on
trying.

Nope, you are not schizoid... I do the same. I am constantly re-organizing my beads. Depending on
whats coming in an order, and depending on what is already in a box, I might have to take some out
of one box to start another or combine some from one box to another. I keeps changing as my
inventory changes. So - no, you are just a normal beader.

I do the same, as long as you take time to gloat ;-) it can be fun to
organize the beads.

Long time no see!

With me it's sorting findings more than sorting beads.
Maybe I should look at my beads more often <g>

I'm currently working on my craft room (yes, back *again*!) Since
I've switched to mostly clay, the beads remain where I last sorted
them - tubes of seed beads are in ammo boxes; bags of glass beads in
stacking plastic drawers. I don't even know what I have any more, and
I'm sure the colors are years out of date :(

I've been trying to de-clutter, with the idea of turning the craft/
computer room into real studio space, and hopefully start selling
online by the beginning of next year. In the meantime, I keep
swearing to myself that I'll stick around here in the newsgroup, and
then wandering off again. I really hate that newsgroups and email
don't come in the same window anymore. I check my email constantly.

Anyway, I'm back for now...until my tired ol' brain forgets again...

Cheers,
Carla

Welcome back Carla, waving to your photo on the wall above my computer.
RCB is really in the doldrums. I tried a few times to inject new life in
to it. It rallied for awhile then dropped back.

It is a coincidence that we have a soap opera called Coronation Street.
In it a Carla came back last week, she had been out of it for awhile. I
think in real life she had a baby.
Lovely to see you here again.
Hugs
Shirley

Sorry for dropping the ball on my end with those photos - now that the
crisis that sapped my energy (family illness) is passed, I'm going to find
my "photo fabric" (a lovely piece of grey faux suede) and get the photo to
you Shirley by weeks end.

I've been inspired by something I saw at the jeweler's when I dropped DS's
watch off for new pins. It was a lovely piece of dichroic glass suspended
from a gold and black bead necklace - much larger than I'd wear and the
beads were 10k gold. But I have this lovely glass pendant in stash - sort of
had to have even if just to fondle and I can do something more "me" with it
and glass bead.

Good to see all of you!

There's more spam than real posts here again, and Ingrid's website
is closed now :(

As Carla here is about my age the thought of her having a baby
makes me chuckle at best - more like sharing "Death by Chocolate".

Thought I'd at least check in.

Maren

Actually, looking at it again, it looks like only the copy of my reply
failed.
So, Shirley, I hope you got the picture.

LOL! Believe me, *this* Carla didn't go away to have a baby <g>.

So, the decluttering continues. Of course, pulling stuff out of the
craft room and leaving it in the living room isn't really helping that
much, either :) But I saw a recent post on my local freecycle group,
someone looking for craft supplies for kids, so at least I've got a
way to get rid of stuff without just tossing it.

Good to see you, Shirley! I remember when you asked us for photos for
your wall. I thought that was such a great idea :)
Maren, any more trips to Chicago? Death by Chocolate is calling your
name...

Does anyone ever hear from Sooz?

Cheers,
Carla

Decluttering ...

I'm trying, honest. I'm so behind on so many things it isn't funny.
I really only went to Google to reply to a potential customer
(Gmail), then came here, and you know how that goes.

Sorry no trips to Chicago in the near future, too bad we
missed Patti though. I'm sure to let you know if I do.
I may see Kalera again before anybody else here (DD
graduating next spring, in Portland).

I'm finally getting kiln wash into my kiln. I may at some
point actually light my torch again. Meanwhile, trying to get
some stuff done despite my back-ache. I don't know what
I did to get that.

I was wondering about Sooz too.

I'm always glad when I find a few new posts here that are
"real posts" - you know what I mean.

Maren
