This set bunny/spring set, I'm just not sure I like all these colors
together. Should I stick with just a couple of colors for the spacers? I
also think the white just doesn't photograph well.
http://www.beadbimbo.com/ebay/bunflorals1.jpg
This lavender, I really had a hard time getting the colors right on. I had
them on a lt. blue shirt, and that didn't work at all. The white worked
better. Any comments on this photo?

And finally, this is just a millefiore set. I like the beads, just not sure
I'm happy with the photo. A little harsh?

TIA for any opinions or comments!

Well, I figured out how to open the aperature, so the picture doesn't get
too dark! I like this one better.

I think the bunny spring set is very cute. I would be tempted to photo it on a
pastel or colourwashed background, because the white would indeed pop out more.
The second one seems to be really shadowy to me..just my impression. Otherwise, it's
good.
The third one, i just don't think a white background does them justice. Try some
different colours, see what happens.

Jerri, IMO the multiple colors for the spacers works **great** for an Easter
theme. If it were simply spring, maybe you should stick with one or 2 colors,
but for Easter -- what could be better! Reminds me of all those hidden
foil-wrapped chocolates, or Easter eggs (dyed variety). Fabulous! BUT -- THAT
BUNNY!!! OMG THAT BUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KLUNK I need to get a bunny bead. I really do. Either that, or a real
rabbit. ~crying~

This picture is much better and I wouldn't change a thing about the
set, the only thing missing is the easter basket to put it in. :=)

It's a beautiful set and the white works but I wonder if a champagne
or something with the tiniest bit of color in it would work better.
I love the lampwork!

These bold beads need something bright behind them, IMO. Gawd, you've
been making some great eye candy!

Just one word: Filters. :)
If you don't have natural light change the temp of the light you do have.

First off, all those beads are incredible and you have every right to be
pleased with your efforts. Secondly: critique of photographs: I like your
second effort on the bunny and Easter circle beads. They are very clear and
the colors did come out better. You might want to experiment with bunny in
a separate photo with a soft pastel background to see if you like any of
that better.
The second group is nicely colored, but it seems that most photos I've seen
of groupings like that are taken more from above with the beads in a half or
three quarter circle effect. That might make the beads more enticing and
three dimensional to the viewer.
The last set is beautiful. There are, however, a lot of colors there, and
it gets a bit harsh visually, at least to me. Is there any way you can put
a neutral space in between the beads so that the eye can take in the colors
of each bead without feeling any dissonance as the eye travels to the next
one?
I'm not an expert in beads or displaying them by any means, these are just
my thoughts as I look at your gorgeous beads. Good luck!

And those lavendar beads are very nice, but the pink spacers seem not to
quite go with the set. I like the lavish sets you've made, but these with
more clear glass are even nicer. If this is the lavendar that changes
color, I think it would be good to put pieces of paper (or something which
will stay color true) in the picture to show what colors to expect.
And the flowers and bunny are pretty, but I wouldn't put all those colors
together. If I had the set, I'd only use those beads in pairs with matched
base colors. Or maybe I'd use them all if there were co-ordinatingspacers
that picked up the dominant color in the flowers. Probably that darker
mauve-y pink.
Nice work. I like that you do many different things.

HMMMM maybe this would solve my "greenish gray" problem I've been having -- I
keep trying white -- maybe I should try a neutral tan color????
I thought of black - but with many of my beads - that would be a bad choice...
thanks for the tip - will try .... and see if that is the solution.

I love the bunny set as it is...really, really, nice! (Ilike the others,
too, but that bunny is just too sweet!)
As for the photographs, I think a white or grey ground works best for beads
and jewelry. I noticed a big difference in the quality of my photos when I
switched to cardstock or posterboard, rather than regular paper. You might
want to try those and see if you notice a difference.
The reason I switched is that I noticed that the camera picks up all the
texture/fibers/fuzzies in plain paper and it shows on the monitor. It alters
the color in odd ways, too. (both the color of the paper and the beads...)
Also, have you tried taking the shot from over the beads rather than a front
view?
I love your beads...beautiful!
Best,
Deborah
