Don't post binaries to a non-binary group. Some people pay by the
minute and it's not fair to force them to download your pictures.

Certainly.

Post the URL of your site here. Put the word "AD" in the header, and your
advertisement will be welcome here. Most other newsgroups don't welcome
advertisements at all, but we do, as long as they're clearly marked.

Just FYI (for those who didn't know), if you are using OE and are using
stationary, the stationary comes across to some as a binary file. To fix this,
click on Tools| Options| Send tab - at the bottom of the page, under News
Sending Format, click the circle next to plain text. That way you can still use
stationary for email but newsgroups will be sent in plain text (no binary).

First of all, that wasn't a suggestion. If I notified his ISP about
it, he'd lose his account. It violates everybody's TOS to post
binaries to a non-binary group. Second, post to a website (almost all
ISPs include some web space with the email address) and put the URL
here. He could also post to a binaries group and put directions to it
here.

Too right, Marilee. All he had to do was post the link to his web
site, because the same pics he attached to his post come up first
thing on his home page.
