general all-around crafting mag... but the cover of the December, 2002
issue is beautiful.
They show & have instructions inside for 2 champagne flutes
embellished with gold 'outliner' ... a substance that looks like
liquid paint <from www.pebeo.com - gotta check that out yet>. Then
inserted into the paint of the gold design are numerous branches of
crystal-embellished tinned copper wire. They did it to a glass vase
also, which holds a round candle - they both look pretty cool and very
festive. The article is on their website, but ONLY if you're a
subscriber.

I just read a little at their website... it looks like you just paint
it on the glass. I'm confused about the glass "baking" part tho...
after you put the paint on, you have to bake the glass at something
like 350 for a half hour or so. ??? We can bake champagne flutes?

The coolest thing I saw there were the paints for children... it's a
"peel & stick" paint. That appeals greatly to my inner child. :D

Yep! That's exactly it! Quite fun! I particularly like working with
the gold liner pen.

Yes! That's what the article says to use. Ok, having worked with the
gold liner pen, do you think that can pieces of tinned (I think by
that they mean shiny) copper wire, embellished with crystals really
stand up in the paint securely? I know you let it dry for a certain
period of time, then you bake it. But I'd be afraid of everything
drooping... and/or shattering in the oven.
Can glass and Swaro or Czech crystals stand to be heated to 350
degrees for a half hour? Dumb question, huh... it was made from
heat, I know but I have visions of everything shattering in the oven.

I believe the lowest melting point for any glass is about 900 degrees
F. Many glasses have a much higher melting point. Pyrex, for example.
Think about your glass baking dishes and such.
It's quite safe, and this paint is fun and effective. I love it!

Cool, I think I'm going to try it. And now I'm thinking of
embellishments for just about everything in the house that's glass.
