"A History of Medicine In Pictures" presented by Parke, Davis & Company made
in the U.S. of A. (initial id PD-U-2043) in 1957.

This portfolio contains 29 of 45 prints that were produced for this series.
The portfolio is in NM condition. The only flaw is slight discolourization.
Each sheet that makes up the contents of this portfolio measure 13.5" x
16.5" (approx.). Following is a description of each sheet;

Covering sheet:
"A History of Medicine In Pictures"
Presented by Parke, Davis & Company
Directed by George A. Bender Paintings by Robert A. Thom

Background information about the historical events illustrated in this
series of pictures is presented on the following pages. The stories
may be attached to the backs of the framed prints, or preserved
separately for reference.

Next is a sheet that provides suggestions for framing.

The paper stock for the prints is heavier than the sheets that contain the
written descriptions. Each description has the series title and the names
of the director and painter (except see notes 7 - 11) along with
acknowledgements. Twelve of these sheets contain 24 of the descriptions
(2/sheet). The remaining 21 descriptions are each on their own sheet. All
the descriptions are present however, 16 prints are gone.
