BEWARE OF MARK PLAGE

Judge for yourself. I won a $120.00 Jagr card from an auction run by
Mark Plage (screen name Plage...@jpmorgan.com) for $18.50 plus $1.50
shipping. Sent a U. S. Postal Money order for $20.00 on 11/29/99. I
received the money back in the mail today uncashed and without a note. I
e-mailed him to ask the whereabouts of my card. He responded by saying
that I had sent him a check drawn on a Canadian Bank that was no good.
Let's all remember he addressed the return envelope by hand. I live in
New Jersey as does he. Why would I have a Canadian checking account
living in the states?
When I told him it was a U. S. Postal Money order he stated that he had
inadvertantly sent the card to the wrong person. In fact, he claims he
sent the card to the guy that was supposed to get back the "canadian
bank" check.
Reviewing his e-Bay feedback. he has numerous negatives (my fault for
being a trusting soul and not checking prior to bidding.) Obviously, he
has had considerable problems in the past with deals.
After the lame excuse I was given for not receiving the card, it is my
opinion that he did not get what he wanted for the card and is using
this as an excuse for not coming through on the deal.
It was a Legends Jagr #002/100. I would ask if anyone sees this card
offered anywhere on the net to please contact me.
This lends no credibility to e-Bay since they are allowing this guy with
numerous neutral and negative feedbacks to still use their medium to
pedal his wares.
You be the judge, is he a crook or just a poor misunderstood soul.
Having been burned for a card that I legitimately won, I do not feel as
though he deals above board, despite his apology.
He states that I should be glad I received my money back. Considering
what I lost, I am not, as I am sure you understand, overwhelmed.
