I have heard of gold bar vending machines (they sell 1g bars at the going
market price plus 15 or 20% commission) being in service in Germany for about
a year now.

Considering the lengths some thieves will take nowadays to abscond with ATM
machines, those tempting gold machines must be welded to the floor or wall.
