The story reflects how hard times are getting
In this country. I feel sad, and my heart is heavy seeing
People resort to using the old coins that they may have
Inherited from they're parents, or grand parents. No one
Will never understand why she purchase a pack of
Cigarettes instead of food.
I hope to see a follow-up on this story.

I would have thought a 1908 Wheat cent would be quite rare.
Missed that.
I read the comments from readers and they have no clue why police might
investigate that.

What's hard to understand? Smoker's value their cancer sticks
more than life itself. So of course tobacco will take priority
over food (or coins.) It's called addiction.
