Australia: Rejected pre-decimal designs of 1926 and 1937/8

You've probably seen illustrations of the square kookaburra trial
pennies and halfpennies of around 1919/1920, but I stumbled across
some later trials and patterns recently while at the National
Archives, London. There's a koala halfpenny, a koala sixpence, and
also an emu sixpence, all illustrated if you click on the link below:

Incidentally, the Australians have told me not to write "koala bear":
it's just koala, as it's not a bear - that's just an example of
convergent evolution, apparently. I stand corrected.
