I'm not surprised at all.
Here's something else to consider:
Last night we had a report on Houston's Money Show in early December.
Some dealers had complained that sales were light. In contrast to this
one of the dealers present during the report said it was his best show
ever. He said he priced his coins at Greysheet values. Other folks had
been complaining that many dealers at the show were pricing their coins
too high
Well isn't this what happen you price according to rumors and
speculation? Just asked the oil companies.
"moderately soft with most coins off of their highs
by perhaps 15 - 20% except for a few exceptions."
Now maybe we'll see if coin dealers pay attention. Wishful and simplistic
thinking, I suppose.
We have seen this any number of times with everything from IPO's, the
whole dot com craze, Beanie Babies... Prices have been artificially
inflated by people "investing" in coins that are worth a tiny fraction
of what they sell for.
