Hot water & dishwashing liquid (Dawn is good) should do the trick.
I would recommend soaking them in some "extra-vergine" olive oil (yes,
the expensive stuff) for a few weeks. Keep like metals in a jar or
something, i.e. don't put silver and copper/bronze together in the same jar.
When you are done, you can rinse them in soap and water with your
fingers, rinse well and pat them dry. DON'T SCRUB THEM with a toothbrush
or anything, though, especially if they are in VF or better condition.
The reason for the expensive olive oil is that the cheap stuff contains
way more fatty acids (>2%) than the expensive oil (<0.5%).
