Hello

This sounds like a local AM Radio station needs
to make up a story to get them to either check
out there web site or listen in.

How many 82 year old women would walk ten
city blocks?

I wondering if this may be some insurance
scam? $50,000 dollars in gold coins.

Police Warn of Scam Artist

December 09, 2008 - 12:00 pm
Kelly Turner and Laura Knop

Police are warning the public of a scam artist
on the loose, responsible for ripping off an
elderly woman for much of her life savings.

The man called the 82 year old woman at home,
warning that someone in her bank was stealing
from her.

He convinced her to walk ten blocks on three
separate occasions to meet him at her bank.
He asked her to withdraw money and hand over
the contents of her safety deposit box,
containing gold coins valued at over $50,000.

Police are looking for a well dressed,
caucasian man, about 5-foot-10, with an
average build.

Hmph. So where's the scam? He just kept some hotel set-up gold buyer from
stealing from her.

My late great-aunt Mabel claimed to walk 20 miles per day, well into
her 80s. All over Springpatch. And I believed her. She would show
up anywhere, at any time, and never owned an automobile, ever.

My great grandmother started walking 5 miles a day when she was 73.
She's 82 now, and we don't know where the hell she's at.

I have a spring patch, but then I shave it before summer arrives.

Not only that but he was truthful with her. Someone in her bank was
stealing from her. Granted it was him...

Exactly. I can't understand why some people always look at the negative
side.
