I'd never rated Edward in terms of numismatics, but I changed my mind
a few months ago. He made two key decisions that affected the coinage
of George VI. The first you probably know about, but there was a more
wide-ranging one. Also, have a look at some images of the coins that
did circulate in his name, and some of the patterns and trials showing
his portrait:
