Other than coin collectors I doubt if anyone in the UK has even noticed that
all coins have changed design for the first time since 1968/71.

She should make a comeback. Billy

You'd be surprised. Most of the retailers that I do business with have noticed them,
without my prompting. They are on the lookout for a new 50p for me.

I would second that. On the two pound coin seems appropriate.

I really dislike the new designs, personally, ild like to see Britannia on
the 1pence.

St george and the dragon on the £2

I also dont see why they shouldnt use various buildings, in a simular way as
the £1 bridges.

Westminster/Big ben clock tower, St pauls, Buckingham palace, Stonehenge,
Blackpool Tower, City of York castle walls, the list could go on.

All better than the crap we have currently.

I agree. The new designs all look to me as if they have been
manufactured and issued by a bunch of incompetents. Long gone is the day
when coinage portrayed the state of `art and technology' available at
the mint.
