One of the most imaginative ever.
"Up for auction we have here is a very rare piece of WW2 history, what
we have here is a rare coin, 1800 Draped Bust silver dollar made to
destabilise the american,british and french goverments Known as
Operation Bernhard, This was the codename of a secret Nazi plan
devised during the Second World War by the RSHA and the SS to
destabilise the British economy by flooding the country with forged
Bank of England 5, 10, 20, and 50 notes Plus coins. It is the largest
counterfeiting operation in history and has been fictionalised in
books, the BBC comedy-drama miniseries Private Schulz and a 2007 Oscar-
winning Austrian film, The Counterfeiters (Die Flscher). the Nazis had
in mind on the eve of World War II. Called Operation Bernhard, the
production of counterfeit money was the work of expert printers and
engravers rounded up by SS units and supervised by an SS officer named
Bernhard Krueger. Krueger's counterfeiters produced some of the finest
forgeries ever."

"The The Fantastic 1800 Dollar." <g> Seems you and maybe others too got
this item pulled by eBay. I think they may finally have someone
following online discussion of coin forgeries offered for sale there as
authentic since they seem a lot better these days at pulling items than
they used to. They still respond only very intermittently to messages
sent to them about blatant fakes, no doubt still having hired far too
few people to even read all the message sent to them. But they've always
been all about appearances, so this is probably what's behind their
following online discussion, if they are. Anybody know what happened to
the effort of the ANA to work with them to cut down on coin forgeries
sold as authentic? The last time I heard, eBay was largely ignoring the
ANA too and it stopped trying. I don't know the back story here though.
